I went along with my friends and kids based on their catalogue pics. The location is just superb, breath taking view especially the sunset view which could be spotted from the cottages or just by 500 m walk to beach right opposite to this resort. It’s wonderful area to spent with family or as solo. 💯 recommended and reasonable.
They have good food spots around too.

The proximity to the beach is a major highlight—just a short walk across the road, and you’re on the beautiful Cherai Beach.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the resort offers excellent facilities like a pool and relaxing spa services. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Large parking is available, making it convenient for those traveling by car.
Cherai Beach Resort is truly the best place to stay if you want to enjoy the beach and nature while being pampered with great food and services. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation!
We recently chose Cherai Beach Resort as the venue for my sister’s engagement, primarily because of its beautiful location near the beach. We were excited to host over 250 guests and had high expectations for the event. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues that need addressing.
Firstly, we selected the resort hoping for a comfortable environment for our guests, especially given the warm weather. However, many of the air conditioning units in the hall were not functioning properly, leaving our guests uncomfortably hot. This was particularly disappointing because we had been assured that the facilities would be in good working order. Despite our repeated requests to the reception for assistance, we received unprofessional and dismissive responses. The staff insisted that the problem was due to doors being opened frequently, but it was clear that the AC units were old and ineffective.
In addition to the AC issues, we were taken aback by the state of cleanliness in the hall and the green room. The green room was in such poor condition that it was unusable, causing inconvenience to guests who had traveled from afar and needed a place to freshen up.
What compounded our frustration was the attitude of one particular staff member at reception. When my uncle approached him to discuss possible solutions for the AC problem, he was met with indifference and a lack of willingness to help. The staff member’s attitude suggested that we could either accept the situation or leave, which is not what one expects from a reputed resort in a tourist hotspot like Cherai.
On a positive note, I appreciate that the manager took the time to listen to our concerns and apologized for the inconvenience. He assured us that he would bring these issues to the attention of the owners and work on resolving them.
Cherai Beach Resort has great potential due to its stunning location, but it is crucial for management to improve maintenance and customer service standards. Regular checks on facilities like air conditioning and thorough training for staff on customer interaction are essential steps forward.
In conclusion, while I see potential in this venue as an excellent spot for events and vacations, significant improvements are necessary. If these issues are addressed, Cherai Beach Resort could truly become a top choice for memorable occasions.
Terrible Experience!!
This resort is very old and poorly maintained. It looks more like a lodge. There were mosquitoes all night, the quilt was torn, and the bed sank on both sides, causing back pain. There is no maintenance at all. Don’t fall for the photo. Definitely not worth the stay.
It was an amazing trip thanks to my cousin Gopinath. With my wife in company,son, his wife and grandson. The beach and the surroundings, maintained clean. You should drive with care, as the roads all over are single roads.
