We visited Westin for a two night stay to be able to relax… away from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. This was our first visit here. It turned out to be a great experience… the property is amazingly beautiful, the staff very cooperative, the food absolutely lip smacking. It surely was a value for money kind of a stay. Even though we went at the time of peak season, we couldn’t feel there was a crowd anywhere around because of the vast expanse.
Thanks Westin for giving us a great experience. We have become your repeat guests… will be visiting with our family and our extended family again soon.
Absolutely loved the experience. Away from the hustle and the bustle of Gurgaon, this place offers a wholesome retreat.
Picturesque and plenty of activities to keep yourself entertained, the service was also pretty good. As it’s a pretty spread out property, you’re gonna walk a lot or take a buggy. I would suggest using the buggy only when needed.. Take a stroll, you’ll like it.
Be sure to see peacocks gliding to and fro from balconies and trees. The food was also pretty delicious, I can vouch for the non-veg personally.
This review is largely about the Spa – Heavenly Spa at Westin Sohna. I’ve taken time out of my day to write about how poor the experience was, I truly disliked it that much. The receptionists knew nothing about scheduling and availabilities for the next day. When I asked if there was availabilities for 2 for 10am the next day, it was just a “I don’t know sir” response. How can you not know?? It’s your main job??! Calling the reception was equally painful – they refused to let me book until I was in the hotel, citing a wedding party that day (I was part of the wedding party). And then onto the massage itself. Got oil rubbed on me for 1 hour with low pressure despite paying ₹6000++ for a deep tissue massage. Overpriced, overrated, highly not recommended. Prices are really high, and I say this even as a USD/SGD earner. The staff seemed like they were more interested in denying services than actually doing work.
Luxurious!! The staff makes you feel so special. My husband booked it for my birthday surprise. This was our first visit to this place and let me tell you it was so amazing. Booking was made directly from the hotel and they were kind enough to also upgrade our room to a villa just a day before.
The room and the bathroom was exquisite. They had our bed decorated and the background wall with my photos.
The buffet was wide spread. Everything that we ate was so tasty.
Their staff was so humble and accomodating. Komal helped us with the reservations, Keshav had visited us and introduced himself and made us feel home and I understand that Kaushik made all the decorations in our room. Everything was just a call away.
They have golf carts to move around the property. They offer free cycling, a mini zoo and bunch of indoor activities. They also have paid activities like paragliding, horse riding and adventure activities.
Totally worth it!!
A little disappointing experience with so called 5 star property. I have visited multiple times but this time I was really disappointed with the service. First they allocated a room which was not serviced with dirty linen and used cups. I had to create a scene at reception to get that addressed, but it still took a bit of time to resolve. As a compensation they offered free horse ride to my kid which I turned down and told them just get the room sorted and clean. They said that they will offer 15 percent discount on food anyways given bad experience at checkin. When I had called for to speak with manager at reception to show him pics of checkin room there was a clear push back from reception staff. A bit strange even if you have level of excalations you cannot deny that.
On the room, the infrastructure is a bit old which is okay but washbasins are choked and take good time to clear up. Clearly maintenance issues and service levels are not great.
I ordered food in the night for my kid. It was good. However when I ordered daal chawal next day they sent half boiled daal and mashed rice. I have asked them to make soft rice but I am surprised that a five star chef does not know how to do tadka for kid without spice and sent half boiled daal with salt and too much boiled rice. Poor service levels and bad experience. Told them you cannot send garbage. An whenever I got the cheque there was no mention of 15 percent discount on both orders which was mentioned by their duty manager to me ( clearly a lip service) and they think if they offer free horse ride and discount they can get always with good money that they charge for everything.
To manager, GM or who so ever, people come not to get compensated for bad experience but to relax and get peace of mind. Hope you and your staff understand that. Learn from your counterparts in other cities, I have many examples of good experience as well but clearly this is a poor experience.
