  1. Hotel Reo Purguil in Nako is a delightful place that feels like a home away from home. The highlight of our stay was the delicious home-cooked food, prepared with care and authentic local flavors. Every meal was a heartwarming experience.

The owners, a lovely couple, are incredibly well-behaved and welcoming. Their kindness and hospitality made our stay even more special. What’s even better is that the neighbors are equally friendly and helpful, adding to the charm of the place.

If you’re looking for a cozy and hospitable stay in Nako, Hotel Reo Purguil is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for those seeking warmth and simplicity in the mountains!

  2. People maketh the place, and that is certainly true in this case. This humble little hotel in the center of Nako village is run by a charming couple and also happens to be the oldest establishment in the village. It is conveniently located at the entrance of the village where the road bifurcates, one leading to the lake and the other to the monastery.

We visited at the end of November, so there was no flowing water as the pipes were frozen. However, the hosts ensured there was ample water kept in the bathroom and provided a heater upon request. Unlike other places that made guests use a common toilet, this thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated. The best part was the home-cooked food (the best we had in the entire Spiti circuit) enjoyed in the cozy kitchen by the fire—a truly unforgettable experience.”
Don’t have high expectations of the rooms—they are basic with an attached balcony offering a view. However, the hospitality of the owners more than makes up for everything..

  3. 10 min walk from Nako lake. Good hotel with a great host. He is a medical guy who helps out of the box to repair my bike 🚳 i personally suggest to get this hotel if you are planing to stay at Nako. This family serves (good quantity) and quality food. Home made..
