We got this AND the same company’s GP-3 model for a recent dive trip to Indonesia instead of bringing a much larger power strip. We were very pleased. We used the USB ports on this model to charge my spous’s Kindle and smart phone, and the older model to power a battery charger, electric shaver and some other stuff. Even in places that just had one wall plug available, we got all the outlets we needed by plugging the GP4 into the wall and the GP3 into the GP4. And they took up so much less space than a power strip–a big plus in today’s environment of increasingly tight weight and space allotments on airliners (especially ones flying domestic routes in Asian countries).

Works well and a great value for the amount of inputs. My only complaints are that out of the package it smelled like it was made out of mostly carcinogens until it aired out a bit and that the blue indicator light/LED is almost as bright as a laser pointer and I had to drape a shirt or something over it at night because it would light up a quarter of the room. Draping a shirt probably isn’t the safest way to do it, so I’d recommend putting a piece of duct tape over the light before you travel.

Perfect fit for all my hotel stays in France. The ROUND plug fit into every hotel electrical outlet. I HIGHLY recommend this type of adapter vs the rectangle ones; which didn’t work my first trip to France. Tip: France hotels have round receptacle outlets that are set back into the wall. So those rectangle ones you see at all big box stores won’t sit into the set backed receptacle. This round adapter was PERFECT and has worked in over 30 hotels in all parts of France (Paris, Normandy, Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Alsace, Lyon, Alps).

I used this on my trip to Paris. I had both my Apple Watch and iPhone charging from the USB ports, my portable charger charging from the front plug, and a french lamp plugged into the top plug all at the same time and everything charged fine and the lap worked. I especially love that you can plug in US or French plugs into the sockets on the front and top of this. I used this in 4 different hotels/apartments and it worked flawlessly in all of them. Highly recommend.
