“I’ve stayed at the Airport Hotel Grand twice now, and I absolutely love it. The location couldn’t be more convenient—it’s just a stone’s throw away from the airport, making travel so much smoother. Beyond that, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, ensuring my stay is always comfortable and stress-free. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped for a relaxing experience. Whether it’s a quick layover or a longer visit, this hotel has been a perfect choice every time. I highly recommend it!”
Overall, decent for a single night stay but can certainly do much better.
Where the service was good:
– Clean rooms. Most basic amenities, towels, toiletries etc provided.
– Hot water kettle provided.
– Doorman helped haul the luggage to the room.
– Air conditioning was decent.
– Staff was friendly and helpful.
– Breakfast was decent.
Areas for improvement:
– Fan regulator didn’t have a knob cover, and only supported two settings – fan on at full speed (very annoying) or just off.
– Shower had low water pressure which was irritating.
– Only provided two small water bottles. When asked for more, said there would be extra charge.
– Hot water kettle provided but no tea/coffee/milk sachet with it.
– Phone network for Jio was bad near the room.
– Windows couldn’t be opened (or blocked by wall beyond). This could be specific to some rooms.
I do not know what possessed me to stay at this place. I guess that after 20+ hours of flying, and arriving at the hotel after 2 am, I did not have the energy to try to find another place to sleep. One has to wonder about the veracity of the reviews that are posted here. This place (will not honor it by calling it a hotel, I have seen pig stalls that are cleaner) is horrible and dirty, unsanitary, and right-down scary. Its only saving grace is that is close to the airport (but that should not be a reason to stay here if you value your health) Horrible, dirty, and scary. Stay here at your own peril. I had to change rooms twice and each was worse off than the one before, in one of the rooms they brought me to, there were piles of trash (yes, I kid you not) on the floor. When I eventually got to a room that I reluctantly agreed to sleep in, I had to put towels on the bed to feel safe, but the towels were brown and dirty. I am telling you, even if you are on a budget, sleeping at a place like this is not worth it.
This maybe one of the worst hotels near the airport. The standard room was not up to standard..so I opted to pay more and move to a higher grade room. This room was also not to expectation. The beddings were not changed from previous use. We requested for complete clean bedding. The wash room is small and poorly maintained. No floor mat or hand towels are provided. The curtains dont seem to have been washed for 10 years!! There is no hot water after 9am to 4am the next morning…..so you cant have an enjoyable shower after your days outing.Vijay who seems to be the owner or manager is only interested in making money out you. Upon check in he refused to give me a upgrade room at the same price I booked . Vijay is the worst host I have come across in a hotel. He shows no committment towards guest hospitality. Dharm who seems to be the assistant has some commitment towards guest and is more approachable.
If I had not paid in advance..I would have moved to another hotel as there are many close by. The house keeping manager did apologize for all the shortfalls…but Vijay was not even concerned or apologetic to our complaints. I am not sure how some guests provide good reviews for this hotel.. not even worth one star. Breakfast has very little to offer for a 3 star hotel. I will never recommended this hotel…it’s the worst I have been to in my 5th visit to India…especially when indicating that’s its a 3 star on google and 4 star at the hotel???
Photos were misleading. Saw debris and hair on the king bed. Was only given 1 small bottle of shampoo and 2 very small bar soaps and no other amenities.. Reception has a note saying hot water available from 4am to 10am only, but i still have hot water so that is fine. Very noisy staff, they dont prioritise guests’ well-being. I stayed on ground floor and i can hear them so loudly.. I booked for 4N but after 1 N, i decided to book another hotel despite paying more. This wasn’t what I have expected. Note that the doors are using keys to open not access cards.. this is easily a 1 to 2 stars inn not even considered a hotel… I should have seen the reviews before booking, i thought the hotel is within airport itself but it was just near airport…
