My stay at Aquays Hotels and Resorts on Neil Island was nothing short of fantastic! The resort offers a perfect blend of serene beauty and top-notch hospitality. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious, offering great comfort after a day of exploring the island. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes that cater to all taste preferences. The pool was well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing dip.
But what truly stood out was the exceptional service – the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re planning a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, I highly recommend staying here. Aquays made our island vacation truly memorable!
We had candle light dinner near the sea shore arranged by this hotel on 17th Nov 24. Arrangements are nice and the food served by them are good too. Staff Mr.Ravi welcomed us and served very sweetly throughout the dinner. The food and service is too good and they have photography services too. As it’s night and dark, we can’t clearly see the waves it would be good if some light settings done there. Otherwise everything is good. Highly recommended.
The infrastructure of the resort is great being right beside the sea with a great view. However the service is horrendous. I got two rooms and both the rooms’ intercom were not working. I complained 3 times but there was no change. The wifi did not work. After having dinner in the room we kept the plates outside but no one came to take the plates or even clean that area. The manager did not seem to care. The experience was horrible.
Disappointing Experience at Aquays Stay
Our stay at Aquays Stay was quite disappointing. Although it’s advertised as a beach resort, there is no direct beach access. To make matters worse, there’s a drainage channel running near the beach, which detracts from the appeal and gives off an unpleasant odor.
The resort itself is currently under renovation. Our room had a strong, musty smell, and there were numerous stray dogs around the property, which impacted our comfort and sense of safety.
The children’s play area was in poor condition, with rusted equipment that seemed unsafe. It’s clear that maintenance is not a priority, despite it being an advertised feature.
Another frustrating issue was the owner’s attitude toward drying clothes. We weren’t allowed to dry clothes outside, despite there being no proper alternative provided. After using the pool, we had no place to dry our swimwear, which was inconvenient. When we tried, the owner reprimanded us, insisting it was damaging his interiors. Providing a simple clothes rack would resolve this, but instead, we were made to feel uncomfortable.
The breakfast was also disappointing, with very limited options and not tasty. This isn’t what you’d expect from a resort.
Overall, our experience at Aquays Stays did not meet expectations. The lack of direct beach access, the drainage near the beach, poor room conditions, safety concerns, unfriendly management, and lackluster breakfast made it a stay we wouldn’t recommend.
Location was good, outer appearance of hotel was good. But interiors of room is very dark plus lights are not adequate. They should make their rooms brighter.
We had breakfast also , I would give 2/5, not great food. Rates of food also very high, so mostly people go out to eat. Swimming pool is a attraction of this resort.
