  1. We recently stayed here as part of our Trip A Deal holiday. We were booked elsewhere, but were changed here without warning.
On arrival the resort looks lovely. The grounds are large and well maintained, the pool is gorgeous and the building is beautiful. Staff are friendly and accommodating, helpful and ensure you have everything you need.

This was honestly the nicest place we stayed during our 10 days in India. There are several little issues we found though. Firstly, when in the shower, you can’t adjust the shower heads so you are stuck standing in a bath tub on a weird angle to have a quick shower …. Then you get out and find the water from the shower is coming up through the drain in the floor !!

Room service was lovely, some of the nicest food we ate in hotels during our holiday, although no warning that certain meals were cold – not hot as would be expected. The room was large and comfortable- although we had to ring housekeeping and request extra pillows. Which they didn’t understand and they had to come into the room for me to show them what we wanted – which isn’t generally a problem, but we were exhausted and in our pyjamas in bed already, even though we’d only checked in half an hour beforehand!

There are moth balls in all the drains – I’m guessing to mask the sewage smells, but it’s just as bad if not worse, and we couldn’t work out what the strong lemon disinfectant smell was- it turns out they use car air fresheners behind the wall mounted tv’s, which was quite a strong and potent smell.

The staff in the restaurant were lovely and friendly, very helpful. We did get rushed out of there though as there was a wedding party being held later in the afternoon, so even though we had booked extended stays and were having a long lunch, we had to leave and go continue our afternoon outside.

Reception staff were able to book a local taxi driver for us to take a group of 6 into a local market to do some final shopping before our flights back to Australia.

Overall, it was a reasonable stay, the resort just needs to improve on several issues and remember that the paying customer will continue to buy more and tip well if we are able to access the facilities they say you have access to and not feel like they are an inconvenience to them.

  2. Lovely hotel, friendly staff. We arrived late last night a group of 12. They left the restaurant open for us for dinner. The food was delicious, good price and very friendly waiters.
Breakfast was very good, huge variety and a chef to cook eggs as you want them.
    The rooms are good, air
conditioner worked well, I would have preferred the shower to be a bit hotter but overall a lovely experience.

  3. This was an extremely disappointing experience. We booked three rooms for two nights, and despite the high prices, the accommodations were inadequately maintained, with the presence of cockroaches and mosquitoes. The bathrooms were in a deplorable state, featuring leaking toilets. Each room had only one charging socket, which was non-functional. Additionally, the televisions in two of the rooms were not working, and the technician was unable to resolve the issue. The room service and reception staff exhibited unprofessional and discourteous behavior. We had to wait two hours for a single bottle of water, despite making numerous follow-up calls. The food at the restaurant was of poor quality and excessively priced. I cannot recommend this hotel, as there are far superior options available in Delhi for the same price.

  4. I stayed for two nights and had a terrible experience. Upon check-in, the room we were given had a non-functional AC, unbearable noise, a bad smell, and a filthy bathroom. After an hour, I requested a room change. The new room wasn’t any better – the AC still didn’t work, the walls were damp, the bed was torn, and the room smelled awful. We had to use a table fan out of compulsion as the AC never worked.

A staff member even told us we should have booked a hotel near the airport, as they mainly cater to airline passengers. The hotel hides behind a “vintage” label, but it’s clear they’re cutting maintenance costs and not caring about customers. This is a poor representation of India to foreign visitors.

I’ve attached photos for reference. I would never recommend this resort – it was the worst experience ever.

  5. My husband and I stayed at this resort during our recent travels to India. We found the hotel to be well maintained, the rooms very comfortable & the staff very friendly and helpful. The surrounding gardens were also very relaxing.
As a coeliac sometimes finding suitable food can be challenging but I was especially impressed with this hotel. Not only were the staff helpful but the banquet manager, Omkar Singh, personally took the time to point out suitable dishes for me and even had the chef prepare me extra dishes and delivered them to my table. Mr Singh really went over and above to cater to my special dietary needs. He also approached me the following day to ask if I needed anything. I couldn’t be more grateful & highly recommend this resort.
    Melissa. Australia.
