Went during the off-season and got lucky with the views of the Himalayas 🙂 outstanding service, very warm staff, awesome food and incredible views! – that’s the summary of our stay at this beautiful homestay.
We, as a family of two couples, had the most amazing experience at Binsar Forest Retreat. We stayed at the Trishul Rooms from 02 to 05 May 2024, for three nights. It had its own private terrace, from where we could see nice jungle views and glorious sunsets & sun rise. The views from our rooms and other places of heavily forested ridges, despite the summer haze, added to our lovely experience. We also managed to see the snow covered Trishul peaks on the last day of our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with hot water bottles and warm drinking water being placed in the beds & rooms respectively, while we were off for dinner.
Nice comfortable treks under the shade of Oak and rhododendrons trees provided the perfect routine for the day. Delectable food, with a new fare at each meal, was the highlight. Never tasted such good food at any other property that we have visited in the North. Serving overnight soaked almonds, in small bowls, was indeed very touching.
The personal touch provided by the owners, Pallavi & Preetam (Super Hosts), added to our delightful experience at Binsar Forest Retreat. Loved the ambience and the jungle sounds, amidst nature. The chirping of birds & barks of the Barking Deer kept us astounded.
A well kept property with ever smiling and helpful staff, who were always available at the drop of a hat. God bless Preetam & Pallavi and Binsar Forest Retreat.

It was a “once-in-a-lifetime” kind of experience here. We got everything- nature, great view of the Himalayan range, excellent home like food, quiet time for reading, nice places for sunbathing, natural walking trails to be with nature, watch birds! And of course – very friendly, courteous and responsive staff. To top it all, the couple who manage the faciiity make you feel like you came to visit a long lost friend. Marvellous experience!

The experience has been outstanding . From reaching there to welcome warmth, food, hospitality , staff , attitude, minimalist approach in everything, rooms, hot water bags in the bed . Everything is so nice about this .

It was an amazing experience, the entire resort is running with solar power, rooms are specious.The unique part of this resort is its food in case of variety as well as hygiene, everyone will feel the taste of pure home made food .
All the staff members are well behaved and very helpful.
