I had a “creepy crawly” and disappointing experience at this hotel, marked by significant cleanliness issues. On the third day, I encountered a large spider in my room, followed by an ant crawling on my pillow the next morning. After raising my concerns, I was moved to a larger room, with assurances it was pest-free, which proved untrue as I found another spider the following day.
The hotel’s maintenance seemed lacking, possibly due to low occupancy, as we were the only guests on our last night. The couches and sofas were also dirty and appeared unkempt, which added to the overall feeling of neglect in the room. Additionally, the dining options were disappointing, with limited selections despite prior notification and no bottled water provided—just regular tap water. Housekeeping was also subpar; I found a dirty broom on my bed and used shower caps left hanging in the bathroom probably for reuse as I could see hotel very much believed in the policy of cost saving.
The only positives were the food and the scenic view. Overall, my stay was far from peaceful and not worth the cost. I was relieved to leave.
What a fantastic stay! Everything was brilliant! From the rooms, the food, the courteous caretakers, location, to the cleanliness ! Their coffee is to die for, and the food by the Blue Book Caffe is just🤌🏻
I recently went to Blue Book with my friends because of all the raving reviews I heard about it and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort has everything you could possibly need or ask for, including river-side high tea experiences and outdoor movie screenings. Riverside mimosas with your friends is an absolute must. The sound of the river, birds chirping, the sunsetting in front of your eyes with some beautiful views is just breathtaking.
The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, with hints of Victorian aesthetics and the staff was so friendly and familial. I don’t think I heard the word ‘no’ once in the entire time I was there. Whatever you need, they figure it out for you. The food was gourmet deliciousness and you can choose to eat in any nook of the property. I personally gained 2 kgs in 4 days because of how yum the food is! Overall, my stay at the Blue Book resort was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway in nature.
It is warm, welcoming, quite and relaxing. The hospitality is top knotch – huge s/o to their chefs and the staff. Will surely be visiting again
I traveled from America to India for a few weeks and spent four nights at Blue Book. The property was beautiful, well maintained, and had plenty to do and places to relax. The room was perfect, had a great bathroom and shower with soap that smelled great. The food was the highlight — it was a great way to experience Indian food given the huge spreads they serve. I was full after every meal. We took a day trip to Nanital which was only a short drive away so the location is great with beautiful surroundings. 10/10 recommend this stay
