Wonderful place situated in the heart of nature, the perfect getaway if you’re going with friends or family. We travelled with the family and our pets and the staff was very very warm and helpful. Caretaker Rizwan helped me set up a surprise for my parents and were very accommodating with our last minute requests. Beautiful cottages nestled in between pine trees really gives you a sense of disconnect from the city. The in house restaurant serves amazing food, the pakodas are to die for.
Amazing overall, the rooms were clean and aesthetically pleasing with windows on the roofs and a balcony offering beautiful scenic views. The food was flavourful and tasty if a little overpriced and again the big open windows offered cool breezes and and frame-worthy looks. Out of everything the most impressive thing about here was the service, the staff was warm, responsive and accommodating. Rizwan who works here was so warm and smilling and truly made the experience that much better. Highly recommend!
Me and my husband stayed here for 3 days and our experience was wonderful. This is a beautiful property, quiet and kids and pet friendly too. The services are reasonable and great here Rizwan ,Prince , Chef Sudhir and Roshan helped us in everything. They even took us to a nearby sunset point where the view was amazing. We loved this place and surely will come again.
This was an overwhelmingly disappointing stay, especially since we had come here after the best stay anyone can ever hope for.
Out of the 5 stars:
One star given for the location of the property, which is in a gorgeous forested area, so we got great views.
One star given for the staff who were just doing their job, and providing box standard hospitality.
One star removed for the rooms. They made an attempt at “rustic?” but it comes off as cheap and unfinished. The rooms were clean, thankfully, but poorly constructed, and the layout was mildly unsettling.
One star removed for the menu of their restaurant which is very small. I’m usually not opposed to small menus as they tend to result in great food, but this restaurant did not seem to get the memo. The food was bland, and on the lower end of the “box standard” quality. And to add insult to injury, multiple of the dishes from the already small menu that we tried to order were not even available. (Seriously, how can a restaurant run out of fries?)
One star removed for the prices and the deceptive portions. Never have I ever been to a restaurant that offered breakfast (no matter the price range) that would not be filling for the average person. But here, the 225 rupee breakfast of plain pancake (banana pancake was not available) came with one small pancake and no dips. Not honey, and definitely no maple syrup.
We tried to avoid eating there as much as possible and prefered the 20 minute walk to Mini Mehal just up the road as they had flavourful and filling food.
Overall, the experience of staying here was overwhelmingly “meh”. It made us think of greed and the lengths people and corporations will go to to squeeze out every rupee that they can out of you.
If you’re looking for a stay at Lansdowne, I would suggest finding a better place than this.
Had a really great stay here, will totally recommend it. The staff is very friendly. We had Rizwaan as our point of contact at the property and he was very kind and helpful. The view is top notch, you can just enjoy the view the whole day. The place is also pet friendly with a wholsome food menu for your fur buddies
