While the property is old, it’s a well maintained property! The rooms are adequately large and have all basic amenities! However, during our stay, the AC remote did not work. The TV did not work! Not the kind of experience you would expect from a luxury property. They charged for the water as well. When this mentioned to front desk at checkout, they didn’t bother to even acknowledge!
Title: Disappointing Experience – Poor Management and Lack of Customer Care
We stayed at the resort for two nights, though our original booking was for three. Unfortunately, we decided to cut our stay short due to significant mismanagement and an unsatisfactory experience.
We had prebooked an evening safari through the resort, expecting a smooth experience. However, things went wrong at the park gate. A resort representative asked us to get out of our booked vehicle to make room for a larger group, reallocating us to a different vehicle. This sudden change was inconvenient and embarrassing, especially as we were made to redo our tickets, costing us more than 35 minutes and leaving us feeling undervalued as individual travelers.
The replacement safari vehicle was in poor condition, and the driver was uncooperative, which dampened the experience further. It felt like a waste of both our time and money, and we were genuinely relieved to be checking out early.
On top of this, the food was very disappointing. It was below average, far from what we expected at a resort.
Also don’t have Wi-Fi,
GM is a busy man , When complained,, he will ask you to adjust stating that they are busy.
If you’re considering staying here, be cautious of their service priorities and food quality. Our experience was far from the relaxing escape we had hoped for.
Magnificent property, in the heart of Kaziranga( Not very sure if they killed some trees and some animals in building the property). But it feels nice to stay. The bathroom fittings could be surely improved. Overall, you will enjoy your stay there.
Mr. Gani in Juhal is an excellent steward and Mr. Arick at reception is an excellent host
I had a stay there for two days and it was quite a soothing experience. Service is too good and fast. Complimentary breakfast is tasty and worth trying. The only drawback is don’t eat all the snacks available in the room, some might be chargeable. Jungle view rooms are worth staying in.
Hi All,
We had booked our stay at Borgos on 31st August 2024 for 31st October 2024 till 2nd November 2024. It was a non-refundable booking and we had paid in full. We had a family emergency that required our immediate attention (a heart surgery). We had to go back immediately. We called the resort and as a special request asked if it could be at least pushed by a few months or if anything else could be done to help or accommodate us.
We were given very curt answers and Zero empathy. Spoke to the manager who told us since we booked from Agoda, we should read our cancellation policies and that they will help in no manner and hung up the call.
This was most disheartening. I requested to consider and stated we are not asking for a refund and that we cannot plan an emergency. But we were strictly told that it was not their problem and that their management does not permit such considerations.
I have to say, we were very excited for our stay at your resort. But this has left a very bitter experience as this level of lack of empathy from the human services industry is first of its kind.
I have examples of Della resorts and Kadu Mane resorts who have been accommodating of emergencies.
I have to say not only are we going with a heavy heart and heavy losses, but we are also going with a distasteful feeling of a place so reputed for its hospitality. We were not given the consideration of even an ‘ask around’.
