Very easy to find and one of the best place to stay while enroute to DEOPANI DURGA MANDIR. Food is alright and nothing great. When we asked for alcohol they said they do serve but then not in the restaurant area and hence we had to go to a small hall upstairs and drink. But that won’t matter much as the need was solved. Food needs extreme improvement.
The staff here is super friendly, which is great. But I noticed that the menu has very few options, and I’m not sure why. I remember seeing a more extensive menu on your social media, so it was a bit of a letdown to find so few choices, especially for a vegetarian like me.
Although our stay was quite short, however, it was such a lovely experience of staying at Changs Garden and Resort. Staffs are polite, food served were good and very overall housekeeping and hospitality was very good.
Went few days back to the restaurant , following was my views on this resort.
1. Menu was too costly for a new restaurant.
2. Ambience was nice.
3. Waiter was very absent minded, missed the main course chicken item even after correctly repeating the items ordered .
4. Food didn’t tasted proportionate. Some tasted too salty, while others tasted low in salt.
5. Quantity served for each item was good.
6. Chicken item was not served by the waiter telling that it was never ordered. This is a serious lapse in my point of view.
7. Overall 2000 bucks for 4 persons, I guess was too much. As had the chicken item was served it would have gone to 2500. Note that non veg are in the range of ~500.
So found a bit expensive for what it is.
Owners, if reading this review, please may work on it as missing a item while taking orders is just not acceptable. Also the food should taste well if people are paying heavily for it.
No television, only AC and water heaters running @2800/day. And when I asked the manager why there was no TV, he said i need to upgrade to higher rates or rooms if I need TV. With no change of bedsheets. Spitting can be seen in the bathroom basins. To owner: Charging high rates is good but you also must think about what the customer is getting.
Food was good. Better than Gymkhana and hamdoi hotel
