Our bike met with an accident and we landed up in this resort. And the hospitality is of great value and they are available whenever you need the staff. The rooms are spacious and have a beautiful view of the hills and photogenic gardens too.
Excellent stay option among the limited choices in Bhairabkunda. We stayed here both on our way to Tawang from Guwahati and on our return. Do not expect a city-like resort, and you will be satisfied. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the bathrooms are hygienic. The in-house restaurant serves veg and non-veg options. The property is situated right at the tri-junction of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Bhutan. The staff was hospitable and helpful. Upon arrival, they informed us that we could enter the Bhutan border with proper documentation to explore the village. We did not know about this so it turned out to be a surprisingly amazing experience. This is the perfect stopover on your way to Tawang if you’re taking this route (and not the Bhalukpong one). In fact, I would recommend taking this route at least once to explore the Bhutanese town of Daifam, which features the Bhairabkunda Shiva Mandir, the only Shaktipeeth in Bhutan.
My review may be a little late, but this resort is truly the best place to stay in Bhairabkunda. We visited for New Year’s 2024 on a 2-day trip, arriving late at night on a Friday by bike. Despite our late arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly, having already prepared our rooms and dinner, which we had pre-ordered over the phone. We stayed in premium deluxe rooms, which were very spacious, as were most of the rooms I saw, many with access to large balconies. The resort has an on-site restaurant that serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. While the menu is understandably limited due to the remote location, the food options were simple yet tasty, with dishes like poori-bhaji for breakfast and veg/non-veg thalis for lunch and dinner, all prepared in a clean and hygienic manner. The resort is within walking distance of the Bhutan entry point, the Assam-Arunachal border, the Bhairabkunda riverside tourist spot, and the Bhairabkunda Temple. The views of the Bhutan Himalayas from the campus are stunning, and they provide extra experiences like a personal bonfire for winter evenings. You can even rent utensils to cook an outdoor meal by the river. For New Year’s Eve, we opted for a bonfire experience. The staff set it up, and we enjoyed snacks and dinner by the fire, making it a truly memorable night. Other groups nearby rented utensils to cook their own food, which added to the festive atmosphere. Overall, our stay was filled with unforgettable moments, making it a perfect getaway.

One of the oldest resorts in Bhairabkunda. We didn’t stay in the resort, but had our lunch there. Food was okay, prices genuine. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Bhutan border, Arunachal border and the picnic spot. However, the management should take care of the cleanliness of the restaurant & the hygiene of the toilets adjacent to the restaurant.
