A government controlled resort with its own private beach, great maintenance excellent cleanliness and service, very elegantly planned out buildings with very beautiful architecture.
It’s a gorgeous property with a lot of space and a lot of greenery, and there’s a nice path throughout the entire property (which is humongous) and it’s fun to take a walk at any given time of the day.
Overall, it’s an amazing experience and I would argue this is the best resort in Havelock island and the huge demand for a room here also heavily indicates that.
This is government controlled resort that’s why always on some demand. Luckily we got a room here. This beach can get a five star rating only for it location. A private beach in front of the resort. The resort itself designed and decorated so beautifully. Foods are delicious and healthy. We are happy to stay there.
Very beautiful location. Rooms with view of the sea. Landscape and gardens are also very good.
Connected to a beautiful private beach. It’s worth even just spending the full at this beach.
Negatives:
Stray dogs in the premises which is a big problem.
No room service from restaurant and restaurant may be far ( depending on your room)
Very average and decent. Everything about the resort is basic and average. Only exception is its location. It is located just next to a beach which is what makes it fun.
We had a decent time there. The staff seemed nice, nobody interferes.
What stood out for me were the stray dogs in the resort, they were v friendly and adorable. 🙂
The resort is located at a very good location and right on the beach. The deluxe cottages have a clear view of the beach and are placed near the shore. Standard cottages are away from the shore, with few of them little closer to the shore. Stayed in a std cottage, and they provided towels, skin cream, shampoo, soap, body wash, dental kit (on request), coffee/milk powder with kettle and flask. Std cottage is adequate with extra cot and mattress (fought for cot). The VIP cottages are the best in terms of location and view, but are reserved only for govt officials.
Reception is good, housekeeping is average.
Avoid the restaurant except for compliment B/F. I have never seen such untrained and unprofessional servers. I felt some discrimination based on language and position (e.g. govt officials).
Overall one can stay here ONLY for the location, as the prices are on the higher side being a govt owned property.
