This is the best place to stay in Tawang. The hosts are super nice and really helpful. They made us feel at home. The rooms are spacious, comfy and clean. They provide room heaters and bed warmers. The home cooked food was delicious, healthy and freshly prepared. Another plus point for us was that this place is ~100 metres away from the market in a quiet local residential area. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tawang.
We are there in this Homestay in the month of October 2024 and the shortest feedback from our side is that- We will never visit this Homestay again.
Their service is very much Guest specific and biased for big groups or tourist or who are availing their Big room located upstairs. For eg their Gesture for welcoming Guest by offering them their traditional scarf is only for Big groups and not applicable where the number of guests is 2 or 3.
Concerned Hostess is having a lot of attitude and it requires repetitive reminders for serving us our food,for hot water or for any other little services. Food quality is very average and options are way too Limited.
When you are running a homestay your cordial behaviour and homely attitude is the key or USP which is absolutely missing in this Homestay.
Entirely wrong choice for us,and would never recommend anybody to visit this particular homestay.
We had a fantastic experience staying at Dondrub Homestay during out stay at Tawang. Thinley, her sister and team are amazing people with top-notch service, warm hospitality and great punctuality. Fresh, home-cooked food, extremely hygienic rooms with room heater, blankets and all necessary amenities would be more than enough to make your stay memorable. We misplaced our phone at the market and were offered immediate help to pick it up. On departure, we were honored with their traditional scarf, the “khada” as a token of gratitude. Highly recommended if you’re in or around Tawang.
We were lucky to experience this cozy and neat and clean homestay. The Host were excellent along with their service. The cleanliness is topnotch. Food part need a little improvement. Apart from that we loved our stay there.
We travelled to Tawang on LTC and stayed for 4 nights during October 4-7, 2024. We enjoyed our stay. We got tasty veg food/dinner (which was impossible to get in any hotel) during our stay. Very friendly and cooperative in all respect. It was a good decision that we stayed there and no hesitation and recommend others to stay there during their trip.
