A small lake with beautiful fishes, ducks and trees all around. Come to this place any time, you’ll find peace. It always feels good to be around a water body and that is also filled with colorful fishes and ducklings playing with their mamas. It’s so nice to sit in a peaceful atmosphere and watch all this.
A small artificial lake with fountains that usually runs at 4PM daily. Ducks and a few other birds are there. Some fish are also in the lake.
Nestled within the historic Lodhi Gardens, the Duck Pond is a tranquil retreat from the bustling city life. Surrounded by lush greenery and the remnants of ancient architecture, it offers a picturesque setting that appeals to nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
The pond itself is well-maintained, with clear waters that reflect the sky above and the gardens around. It’s a delight to watch the ducks gracefully glide across the pond, occasionally diving in for a swim. The serene atmosphere is occasionally punctuated by the playful quacks of ducks, adding to the charm of the place.
While the pond is relatively small, it’s the perfect size for a quiet stroll or a moment of reflection. The benches around the pond provide a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the natural beauty or delve into a good book.
The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the occasional crowd during peak hours, which can slightly detract from the peaceful experience. Additionally, while the area is generally clean, there can be moments when litter is noticeable before the maintenance staff have a chance to attend to it.
Overall, the Lodhi Garden Duck Pond is a delightful spot that deserves a visit whether you’re a local or a tourist seeking a moment of peace in New Delhi.
This place adds a different flavor to the already beautiful garden. A corner for kids…with powerful fountains inside the pool of water, lots of ducks and swans, kingfisher, and a cat. There are benches along the small pool of water…however this place gets crowded suddenly at 4pm as soon as the fountains starts.
I went to Lodhi garden multiple times but I never missed this spot as this place adds a different flavor to the already beautiful garden. A corner for kids with powerful fountains inside the pool of water, lots of ducks and swans, kingfishers. There are benches along the small pool of water. However this place gets crowded suddenly at 4pm as soon as the fountains start. Highly recommended place for family outings.
