Very nice location with spacious rooms with neat and clean bed linen and spacious dressing room and clean bathroom. Huge dinning space with kitchen attached. Service boys are very friendly and decent. Food prepared as per request. Homely food with less oil and spice but delicious.
Pleasing and convenient place to stay. Location is excellent, being equidistant from the Manas Forest entrance and the river. This is a place run by a group of local boys without a formal training in hospitality. So while their efforts are earnest, the outcome is not very professional. Food is homely and tasty. Overall a decent place to stay for a short period.
I visited this property for the first time with my friends on 03/11/2024. The location is very convenient, being only about 300 meters from the main safari gate. The staff here are well-mannered, and the manager, Bikash, was extremely helpful in arranging both elephant and jeep safaris for us.
We really liked this property—it’s one of the best options in this price range (under 3000). However, the food is a bit pricey. For example, the desi chicken thali cost us Rs 2000 (500 per person), and we found the prices of other items to be on the higher side as well. Although we didn’t compare it with other restaurants, it did feel a bit expensive.
Overall it is okay but while booking on online sites make sure to see the things included in the price otherwise at reception they tend to overcharge by saying certain things are chargeable extra. Our booking through MMT clearly indicated a double bed and an extra mattress for 3 people but were charged extra.
One of the best budget friendly stays to explore the beauty of Manas National Park. If your aim to spend more on the safaris and less on the stay then this is the place for you. The manager handled our safaris really well. All the safaris were done on time with the driver picking you from the property itself. Food is simple and good if you don’t have high expectations. We didn’t have any complaints as we liked dishes prepared by the staff. The location is amazing as we also got to spot Rhinos right infront of the property on the evening we arrived.
