I chose this stay based on Google reviews and found them accurate. The reception team was incredibly helpful and friendly. Both the room and the entire hotel were clean, and the restaurant served delicious food. I’ll definitely consider staying here again if I plan another trip to Kaziranga.
Room was specious. Keetle, tea , coffee pockets were available. Toiletries were provided. There was guizer in each bathroom for hotwater. Hotel is on highway and around 20-25 min drive from kaziranga elephant ride gate. Staff was helpfull and friendly. 500 ml water bottle is provided for each person which is not sufficient. Beds were not good, made up of coire and sping.
Hotel is situated on the highway. It appears compact and cosy on the outside and is the same from inside as well. Rooms are spacious. Washroom however miss out on the luxurious feel. Room service is good. Staff is also welcoming and helpful. Amenities are adequate, however one or two more like shoe polish machine would be ideal. Breakfast spread is fine but can be added to.
Hotel is bit far away from Kohora and Bagori ranges. Advisable to have your own commute, otherwise transportation can be a bit cumbersome.
Pathetic staff! The receptionist are very rude and don’t listen easily unless you call them 5 times for one thing. Washroom doors are inoperable.
Many better option are available in the city.
While I want to give a low rating, my mind is not allowing me to due to the genuinely good-hearted staff. The staff lack training big time, however they are very nice people I hope the management gets a proper consultant to train all the staff. It looks like a hotel started by a group without any hospitality experience. This lack of experience shows in all aspects from the design, electrical wiring, plumbing, lighting , decor, etc. The staff has no uniform, it adds to the professionalism of the whole establishment. The restaurant was a disaster, the food was decent, but they had no sense of management to manage the Easter rush. Some guests actually broke into a fight.
In the rooms, the lighting switches are all jumbled up, like reading light switches for both sides are on one side. The night lamp switches again are on the other side, and so on. It shows a lack of experience from the designer in designing hotel rooms. In the toilet, the drain used is a non water trap type, so bad smelling fumes come back into the room. They can fix most of these issues easily. There are large window panes used all over the building but haven’t been cleaned.
The toilet is big but does not have proper dry wet area separation. No towel rack . No proper counter and worst of all no mirror at all. The space is there its just about doing a professional interior design.
Also, the rate charged did not match the overall services provided.
I am writing a detailed review so that the management sees this and gets a chance to fix these issues.
The location is away from the popular central zone but nearer to the Eastern zone ( yet far from it, too)
The staff are genuinely nice people given the right training will run the property as an excellent one, albeit the location.
I am giving a 4 star because they deserve another chance. However, in reality, my experience was a 2 star worthy experience.
Get a good consultant and a professional manager, train the staff, invest in correcting the mistakes in the rooms and toilets. Have a proper cleaning regime good uniforms etc.
