This place is pretty inside, not easily accessible by walk or car. By walk its around 2km from the
mall road. Location is incorrect on google maps don’t rely on it. Food is pretty much frozen. Their tea is also machine tea. Bathroom needs more cleaning. Common area need to be cleaned frequently. Its far away from the pictures posted online
I stayed in a private room, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The room was unhygienic and damp, with water droplets dripping from the ceiling, as visible in the photos. This stay is not suitable for couples and should only be considered by bachelors or backpackers.
The hostel overall was in a pathetic state. Cigarette waste was scattered all around, there was poor ventilation, and the common sitting area had a foul smell. The kitchen was filthy, and the food was unappetizing. I have never encountered such poorly made aloo parathas and tea, even at the cheapest of establishments.
This was my first and definitely last visit. I would not recommend this place to anyone. At a price of ₹5000, there are far better and more hygienic options available. It was the worst and most unhygienic stay I’ve ever experienced.
The place has good space for activities and roaming there. There is a small room with a projector where you can watch movies or listen to songs.you can play games in the common area. For bonfire they charge 500 Rs from the group . It gets divided if there are more groups. It was a pleasant stay.
I chose goSTOPS Nainital primarily because it’s the only hostel in the area. However, be prepared for a 2 km uphill trek from the bus stand and Mall Road; it’s best to have a vehicle, as walking can be quite challenging.
I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory, which was clean and neat, providing a decent space to rest. Unfortunately, the common areas left much to be desired; they were often dirty and had an unpleasant odor, which detracted from the overall experience.
While the food offered was convenient, it was on the pricey side and seemed to consist mainly of frozen items, which didn’t feel fresh. Additionally, the cab service provided by the hostel, particularly with the driver Sonu, was quite expensive. I would recommend looking for transportation options outside the hostel to save some money.
Overall, goSTOPS has potential with its dormitory options, but improvements in cleanliness and food quality, as well as better transportation deals, are needed for a more enjoyable stay.
Trust me this is the cheapest as well as the best at it’s price in Nainital. The hotels here are too much expensive. I stayed in a 12 bed dorms. My experience is really good here. This place is magical. Even if you stay with a group then also it’s amazing u can play games here. Staff was really nice. 24*7 food service. The location is a bit complicated can say that. But u can book a bike ride from mall road at 100 rupees.And i will suggest to download gostops app in advance. It will be more convenient that way. Have an amazing trip.
