  1. Himalaya Vista is for sure one of the best places to stay in Harsil valley.
It is situated at a trek of 900mtrs from the main road through beautiful Deodar forest, a tiny water body & surrounded by apple orchard (you can get help for the luggage but keep in mind the trek if you have senior citizens with you). They have safe open parking on road from where the trek starts.

Mr Negi is a wonderful host & is well versed with knowledge of the area & everything about mountains. Food is another USP of the place, home cooked food, simple & delicious by Mrs. Negi.

Rooms are cozy, spacious, neat & clean. Bathrooms are also big with basics provided. The verandah is the best place to spend time after a long day.

If you are looking for a place away from the market, serene calm surrounding, love to trek then Himalaya Vista is the perfect stay option.

  2. There are few places around the world, that will make you feel like you are really welcome. You become an instant family member. This homestay is one of those places. 30 minute uphill trek from NH34 (you’ll get help with the luggage) lays a tiny village with spectacular views. You’ll experience the best Indian home cooking out there from Ms. Negi and some blood-curdling mountain expedition stories by Mr. Negi. Great treks available from your doorstep. Highly reccomended!

  3. Absolutely amazing place to spend quality time away from hustle of city life. We spend more than 3 weeks at this place and every day was amazing. Negiji and his wife made our stay memorable with their amazing hospitality and delicious food. Sunset views from this place are heavenly. Last but not the least is their pet dog Tiger who accompanied us everywhere during our evening walks.

  4. This is an incredibly beautiful little place. The rooms are all done up very beautifully and are extremely comfortable with all facilties. The attached bathrooms (very important from my perspective) are spacious and clean with all modern fittings. In fact, in 2019, we were one of the first few guests to stay here. There are several comfortable walks in practically any direction with great views. Sitting on the balcony with a hot cup of tea and pakodas, in addition to drinking in the breathtaking views of the valley across and of meandering Bhagirathi goes way beyond description. Mr. Negi, who owns and runs the place is a fantastic host. And the food was great – local vegetables (all organic) prepared to a tasty perfection. He has organised several of our treks and is now more like a friend. I strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend some time in a lovely place, while enjoying cool weather even in summer – fantastic getaway. Looking forward to going there again – once the road condition from Uttarkashi improves.

  5. It’s a memorable stay for us. Luxury rooms in top of hill with limited access to outside world. Super tasky food and Rajendra Negi is down to earth person he will talk about anything. Thank for wonderful host.

Please note you will have to trek / climb 45 minutes up to reach homestay. So prepare for that and don’t be late
