  1. I booked a room for one night as I had a late night arrival via bus. I called reception in the afternoon to let them know I’d arrive at 2330 just so someone could be ready for me at reception.
Upon arrival to the hotel, I noticed all the lights were out and gates locked. I tried the phone numbers they listed on their sign, and also the number I had called in the afternoon. They were all unreachable. Thanks to a guard nearby I was able to find a calling bell, which was not very visible in the dim light. I had to wait with my bags for more than half an hour and was close to giving up and booking a different place.

After a few minutes of ringing the bell an attendant woke up and let me in and checked me in. He was polite and his service was decent. However, once I got to my room and got ready for bed, I noticed a pile of excrement from some kind of animal, under the bed sheet.

That is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel. The attendant said that something got in because they leave their doors open. This is very concerning because I have no idea what that animal was, or where it went after crawling into the bed. Not to mention hygiene concerns if animals are sleeping in the beds. I was moved to a different room but that did not do much to put my mind at ease.

Overall, this hotel needs a lot of improvements to be a place worth considering. The paint is flaking, and rooms need renovation. I’d suggest making it easier for guests checking in late by highlighting the calling bell, having phone numbers that work so guests can call for assistance and overall just better coordination between receptionists. Also, detail to hygiene and cleaning of rooms, keeping the doors shut and double checking everything before assigning a room to a guest. Management should respond to this asap.

If you’re looking for a decent place to stay, this is definitely not it. I felt very uncomfortable with this experience.

  2. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining in at the new indian restaurant in frederick, Aroma Palace. Both the service and food are a cut above. Special mention to the butter rotis and vegetable kolhapuri, while the rotis were super soft and fluffy, the kolhapuri was lip smackingly good. We definitely plan to go back to try out the various options in their extensive menu. I just want to thank the owners for proving us with a superior dining experience in the Fredeick area.

  3. Neat And clean, food Not instant Available but as providing fresh so its OK. So far as hilly area therefore deserves five Star. Look forward to stay again And recommend, just order food little earlier so you get in time. Suggestion to owner kindly mention in menue to order half hour earlier to get food.

  4. Gr8 hospitality and service overall kudos to Mrs.Sakshi Mahajan for meticulous planning and ensuring things go as planned . Food is good and made fresh every time- proximity to Chamba town is the biggest advantage- worth staying and highly recommended for families
