Pros: Great location with top street food vendors within walking distance—this is the only positive aspect of the hotel.
Cons: The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Room lighting and ambiance were poor, and the room was unclean with dirty blankets and pillowcases. There were gutkha stains, and housekeeping came only once in five days. Outside food wasn’t allowed, yet the hotel restaurant lacked many menu items. The bathroom was poorly maintained; the flush didn’t work well, and there was no soap dispenser or consistent water supply. The elevators were out of order, and no assistance was offered with luggage. When I called the receptionist, he dismissively said, “Sir, construction is going on, please deal with it.” If they’re under construction, they shouldn’t be taking bookings.
Nothing much to tell about the rooms and service. The rooms have literally pan strains. The Gutka culture of India is evident. Also the rooms desperate need work. From cupboards having broken legs to color peeling off the walls to many others.
Service is slow as snail. They only have 2 staffs that act as bell boys to waiters to everything else in between. House cleaning is only 2 pm till 5 pm.
Oh did I say they do not honor complimentary breakfast that you book online. You need to order them and pay for them. They have a policy not to serve complimentary breakfast for online booking even if you opted for one.
Only saving grace is the location and the taste of the food.
I recently attended a blessing ceremony organized at this hotel. I am with a group of 15 to 16 people. The function was held on the 4th floor. We had to wait for our turn since the lift can carry only 4 people at a time; unfortunately, the other lift was out of order. The function hall was moderately big enough, capable of accommodating almost 100 people. The stage looked a little rusty though, which was later covered by our people before the start of the ceremony.
Talking about food, I really liked it; all of the dishes we tasted were pretty good.
Attended a wedding ceremony at this hotel which has a hall that was average in size and can hold around 100 people comfortably. It was in the 4th floor and functional lift was available. The hall was accompanied by washroom and another big hall where we had our food.
It was clean and the washrooms were hygienic.
The food was tasty.
Underground Parking is available for vehicles.
