  1. Terrible Experience – Not Worth the Price

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Despite confirming basic amenities like hot water, food service, and restaurant availability prior to check-in, none of these were adequately provided.

The bathroom was poorly cleaned, with hair clogging the drains.

The room was infested with mosquitoes, and stained towels were provided.

Tissue rolls, which we requested multiple times, were never delivered.

When we went to the restaurant, we were told no food could be prepared as the chef was unavailable. Additionally, the staff seemed untrained and unprepared to handle even basic guest requests.

To make matters worse, the staff was rude when we raised these concerns during checkout. Despite all the inconvenience, we were charged extra for a late checkout, even though we checked out earlier than planned due to the subpar experience.

For ₹6000, this stay offered nothing close to the promised standards or basic hospitality. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

  2. I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel for a temporary 2-hour accommodation through TTDC. The rooms were far from satisfactory. The bedspread and pillows were filthy, and the entire property was infested with mosquitoes. I had hoped to use this time to freshen up before my visit to the temples, but the conditions made it impossible.

Despite my repeated requests to the service boy to change the bedspread, my pleas were ignored. The response was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. When I tried to call the reception for assistance, there was no answer. It was frustrating not being able to simply go down for every issue I encountered.

Given this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of cleanliness and poor service made my stay very unpleasant.

  3. Hotel Grand Orchid in Tirupati offers spacious rooms that provide a comfortable stay. However, the bathrooms, though large, are not well-maintained, with visible water stains and signs of wear. The TV selection is limited, offering fewer channels than expected.

The food options were average, with limited variety and room for improvement in taste. The breakfast buffet was similarly restricted, with a lack of hot options and a relatively small spread. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to check the service in detail during my short stay.

While the hotel’s location is quite convenient for exploring Tirupati, the overall experience does not justify the relatively high price. Given the lack of variety in food, limited amenities, and maintenance issues, the hotel feels overpriced for what it offers. It could certainly be more affordable for the standard of services provided.

  4. The staff at the hotel were not hospitable, and every service was delayed. During our stay, the hotel was undergoing repairs from morning until evening, with loud drilling noises persistently. Despite informing both the staff and the reception, our complaints fell on deaf ears, and the hotel staff made no attempt to halt the construction activities. We had traveled from Anantapur to Tirupati with the expectation of a restful night following our lengthy journey. However, the ongoing renovation works in the hotel prevented us from getting proper sleep. As for the breakfast service, it was far from satisfactory. The buffet was not fully stocked at any given time, forcing us to repeatedly request items from the waitstaff, who then fetched them from the kitchen. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel to others.

  5. Terrible experience overall, with numerous issues right from check-in at this hotel. Problems included lack of hot water, delays in changing towels and bedding, and insufficient staff. The management seems very casual and they are least bothered to address the issues event after complaints at reception. Staying here felt unbearable. If you’re considering a budget hotel, it’s worth spending a bit more elsewhere to avoid this place entirely. Checking in here was a nightmare and the worst experience I’ve ever had.
