Hotel Ross & Smith is located at a prime location. Rooms are spacious. At this time there is no restaurant but they are planning to open soon. They provide free wifi & drinking water service. Ac rooms 2000 and non AC 1500.
The room was spacious and the staff were cooperative .
Good for a 1 night stay.
Would have given 0 rating had there been an option. Horrible stay. Ventilation less rooms, barely working bathroom fixtures, bedsheets had lints. They are taking advantage of having a hotel at a remote place. Please explore other available options before booking. Pathetic excuse for a hotel. The one night stay was pure torture.Spent a sleepless night without any sort of electricity and power back up in this hot and humid weather in a ventilation less room. Staffs were unresponsive.
This place is not star hotel, but the service provided is not any less. Right from the kettle in room to the extra mattress and food ordering everything is there. Spacious clean room and felt at par with 2 star hotel. Provides hot water service, kid friendly.
Con: the bath room sink was not clean and the cable connection wasnt woring, so missed watching an IPL match.
Average property, but best in Rangat
This is the best place you can get in Rangat. Its good for a transit stay, but nothing more.
It has the best restaurant in Rangat, but the food is just average. We stayed here for 2 nights, while going and returning from North Andaman. And ordered same dish (prawn butter masala), and both times the gravy was totally different. I believe they were having some issues of Chef that time.
The stay is totally dependent on rooms you get. First time we got room at 2nd floor, which was too small. It barely had any place to walk besides the bed. But 2nd time we got a room on 1st floor which was spacious. So, make sure the size of room at the time of check-in. Although cleanliness and bathrooms were equally maintained, but size matters. 🙂
