I recently had the worst experience at a hotel ‘Solan Heaven’ in Solan. After traveling for nearly nine hours by bus, I arrived at around 10:30 PM. Finding the hotel in the dark was extremely difficult. I called the hotel manager multiple times for directions, but he kept giving me confusing information. At one point, I fell on the road and sprained my leg due to the poor lighting and unclear directions.
When I finally reached the hotel, the manager was standing outside. Instead of showing any empathy for my injury, he rudely demanded my ID card while I was still on the road with my heavy luggage. I asked to enter the hotel and put my luggage down first, but he continued to be rude and insulting.
After checking in, I wanted to take a bath to clean off the dust and pollution from my journey. However, there was no provision for warm water, and I had to bathe in cold water despite the cold night. Later, when I decided to get some dinner, I found the corridor in complete darkness. Using my phone’s torch, I navigated to the hotel doors, only to discover they were locked, trapping me inside like a cage. There was no provision for drinking water either, as there was no water dispenser or jug in the room.
The next morning, I went to the reception at 8 AM and again at 9:30 AM, but it was locked, and there was no staff or security to assist with any requests. The manager’s attitude was the worst part of my stay, and I will never visit this hotel again.
I highly recommend this hotel for families and couples. Food quality is mind blowing. Staff is friendly. Neat and clean infrastructure
