  1. Extremely Poor Service and Unprofessional Management.

I booked at Rajmahal Palace in Tapukara, Alwar District, Rajasthan, for an official trip of 5 days, despite several negative reviews, mainly due to its proximity to my work site and the attractive exterior photos. However, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. Here are the major issues I encountered:

Room Infestation: The first room I was allotted had mice, which was unacceptable. Despite informing the staff, the issue couldn’t be resolved, and I had to move to a downgraded room.

Lack of Basic Amenities: I had to repeatedly ask for the complimentary tea kits and packaged water bottles that were supposed to be provided. It was a frustrating experience.

Unpleasant Smell: The new room I was shifted to had a foul odor. I had to specifically request an air freshener, and to my surprise, the washroom didn’t even have a basic odonil block—something that should be a given in any hotel.

Missing Doormat: There was no doormat provided in the room, which again had to be requested separately.

Electrical Hazard: While preparing tea, the base of the electric kettle sparked and caught fire within two minutes of use. After urgently reporting it, the staff simply took the base without replacing it. I had to remind them three times over the next 3.5 hours to get a replacement, all while needing hot water due to a sore throat.

Faulty Bathroom Fixtures: The shower knob to switch from shower mode to tap mode in the bathroom was completely dysfunctional.

Unsafe Room Conditions: The bedside lamps weren’t working, and worse, the lampshade clamps were exposed at eye level near the bedside table. This poses a serious safety risk for anyone trying to grab items from the table.

Overall, my stay at Rajmahal Palace was marked by poor hygiene, lack of basic amenities, and unsafe conditions. The staff exhibited utter negligence and a sheer lack of professionalism, leaving me with the impression that this hotel should no longer be in the hospitality business.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone, and I strongly advise travelers to look elsewhere.

  2. Very costly than near by hotel. Facilities are not as per charges. TV and wifi is not working. Exast fan is not working and you will feel choked. Toilet kit like soap and shampoo will not be provided. If you will get then that will be one medimix soap cost of 2 rupees. Avoid this one hotel.

  3. It is a nice restaurant in Tapukara near Honda Cars India. Not on main highway so it’s not visible from road. The quality of food was good and services was excellent. Staff was very humble and polite and they take care of all your requests. Party halls for 5-8, 20-30, 50-100 persons are available. Rooms are also available in a reasonable price at this location.
