We recently had the pleasure of staying at Woodville Palace in Shimla, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the room service was always prompt and efficient. The rooms were impeccably clean and luxurious, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.
The garden outside the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained and absolutely mind-blowing. It was a delight to stroll through the lush greenery and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet was delicious.. A special mention goes to the restaurant manager, Balakram, who is a true gentleman. He ensured that our dining experience was exceptional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Overall, our stay at Woodville Palace was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shimla for a memorable and luxurious stay.
We’ve stayed at this property for more than a week now. We must mention that their hospitality is so consistent. Each and every staff at reception, restaurant, housekeeping, security, room service is so well-trained. Five stars for the location, hygiene, food, prompt service and the overall experience! Highly recommend..
So the overall hotel is neat and clean.
There is not too much staff but still the work is done. We called for slippers which came within 5-10 minutes. The booking is done centrally and there is no co-ordination between reservation (bookings) and the reception at the hotel. I added some request on arriving which was not conveyed.
Ideally the Check Out timing is 12 pm. But the guests staying there were out of hotel to a temple so the check out was not sure.
And we were waiting to Check In.
Till 12:30 we were given no concrete answer on when the room would be available. So if they left room at 1 pm we would have got room at 2-2:30 pm.
The check in time was 2 pm. But the guests staying there were we sharing no time to check out.
Ultimately we had to book an upgrade at higher price because we were tired of travelling since 3 am. The management should strongly convey to the guests the Check Out time. As after check out it takes another 1-2 hours to clean the room.
There is no cab service that the hotel provides. So you have to book your own transportation. And they have a very casual approach.
Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, near to the mall road, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionists and staff, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish,. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future
