We had a somewhat nice stay of two days. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Complementary breakfast was also good. But the dinner buffet was overpriced, can’t afford to a family of four (personal opinion based on my expenditure) so we chose to dine out. There’s a swimming pool and a decent camp fire site. It’s situated in the heart of city near to lake and park. Road to hotel is congested in day time.
Room service was excellent
There was a bad smell near the pool area.
Overall I’ll give them a decent four stars.
Special thanks to the reception staff at the desk in night shift and the staff who bring us Paracetamol tabs at four o clock in the morning . Thank you so much
The property is clean and rooms are spacious. the view from the room is good too. the only thing was not very happy was the food quality and also the spread for breakfast buffet. of three days we were there, only one day was good.
Otherwise the stay was perfect
This hotel in Kodaikanal is one of the best. It’s a bit old, but it’s well-maintained and the bathrooms have been updated. The staff is really nice and respectful. The campfire party was awesome! We didn’t try the lunch and dinner buffets because they were too expensive for us. But the complimentary breakfast was delicious.
The hotel is located in the heart of the city. I highly recommend it, especially for families.
I recently stayed at this place for a couple of days, the rooms are quite aged and doesn’t have proper insulation, nor does it have carpet flooring. Considering the rooms don’t have an ac/blower it got quite cold and damp late into the night. The dining services in overdane is quite good tho, has a good selection of breakfast /dinner items. The staff is also quite helpful and prompt with requests.
This resort was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I have no idea how it received a 4-star rating—it’s hard to believe the positive reviews are paid, because there’s no way this place deserves that rating.
I stayed here for two nights, and it was terrible. The buildings are old, and many of the wooden doors are practically falling apart. The toilet flushing system barely works, and sometimes there’s no water at all. The shower taps are damaged, and hot water is inconsistent. There’s no air conditioning or fans, and the outside smell is so unpleasant that opening a window is unbearable. On top of that, the meals are massively overpriced, with lunch or dinner costing 700 rupees per person.
On the positive side, the complimentary breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly, but that’s about the only good thing I can say.
