  1. Amazing rooms, very pleasant coloured walls, aethetic furniture and decor. The boutique hotel entrance itself is so serene filled with so many plants and trees. Perfect vacation retreat! Mr.Ali is so humble and kind and the entire team gives personal attention unlike other hotels where they’re business minded. Would 100% recommend for your stay!
The place is well maintained and the rooms are free from insects and pests!!

  2. Absolutely loved this property! Its very thoughtfully made. The central theme of the resort- Matsya(fish) is obvious with all the decor carefully curated around it. The food was spectacular at Cafe 4. We had the Chicken Thali and hit all the right spots. The owner, Mr. Ali and every staff member make sure you are well taken care of and are loving your experience. There is beautiful lotus pond right next that makes the surrounding look like its straight from a studio Ghibli movie. At night you can visit the terrace for stargazing. Overall a 11/10. Looking forward to coming back soon:)

  3. Staff is very humble and supportive. We stayed here with our 1 year old baby. They provided with great baby food as per instructions. It was a beautiful, homely stay. Rooms are clean and very well managed. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  4. It just felt like Matsya belongs to Andaman! We planned to stay for two days, but ended up extending for another day. Rooms feel earthy, like how you want to feel when you’re on an island. Smallest of the things are so well decorated. Food is great.

There’s a dog called Bruno, sweet buddy, please don’t be scared at all

Will be happy to come back again!

  5. I had high expectations for my stay at Matsya Island Retreat, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what I anticipated. For a property charging ₹10,000 per night, the standards were surprisingly low.

The cleanliness of the room was particularly disappointing. Both the bedsheet and towels were visibly dirty, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a luxury retreat. This immediately left a negative impression.

The breakfast was another letdown. We ordered a Spanish omelette, but what was served was unrecognizable and the overall selection was sparse, leaving us dissatisfied and hungry.

For the premium price, Matsya Island Retreat falls short of delivering the quality and service expected from a 4-5 star property. I left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed, and I sincerely hope that improvements are made for the sake of future guests.
