The place is 10 mins away from Mudgaon but, it is a beautiful space carved out IN the forest. So one has the best of both the worlds when staying in Nirvana. We took the room with a play pool so that was great +. The staff is really friendly. Evenings by the pool overlooking the lake makes the place really worth it. We had a lovely time there. When it comes to pets, it’s restrictive because when other guests came in and they were not pet friendly, we had to stay locked with our dogs in the room until they went away. The staff loved our dogs. It’s kind of understandable but at the same time, not enjoyable. While their bar by the pool is decently stocked, the kitchen needs to expand. They offer a limited but tasty menu. Overall really good place to stay if you enjoy nature but restrictive with pets.
Love the place. it is so relaxing. get uplifted every time I visit Nirvana. I love nature and natural habitat and it is in abundance here. Cabins are beautiful. If you see someone who is looking for relaxed time in midst of nature. This is the place. Highly recommend:-)
We had booked Sienna cottage after being promised a 3 star experience on various websites. But the condition of the room and the service is of 1 star standard. Here are some issues that we noticed.
1. The rooms appear new but the infrastructure seems very old and not maintained at all.
2. There are house lizards everywhere in the room. The staff pleaded helpless when asked to do something about it. There was a dead insect on the bed when we checked in.
3. The bathroom is not completely partitioned so the smell percolates in the room making it very “pleasant” experience.
Finally after finding such conditions when we wanted to check out the hotel outrightly refused the refund. The staff and owner were not very cooperative. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I booked two rooms at this property for three nights through their website on 22nd August 2024, paying 50% of the amount in advance. Before booking, my wife inquired about the weather conditions with the representative we spoke to, who assured us that the weather was clear with no rain expected for a few days. Based on this information, we went ahead with our booking.
However, upon our arrival in Goa on 24th August 2024, we encountered heavy rainfall. Given the weather, we decided to cut our trip short and return to our hometown after just one night. We informed the management about our decision and requested them to deduct the amount for one night’s stay and refund the remaining balance. Unfortunately, they refused to return any of the remaining amount.
To be honest, the rooms were priced quite high, especially considering it was off-season, and the rates should have been more reasonable. We found the overall experience lacking in many aspects. The property didn’t offer much privacy, as the room doors opened directly onto a road with people and vehicles constantly passing by—a detail that wasn’t mentioned on their website.
Additionally, they didn’t even provide basic amenities like mineral water in the rooms. Instead, we found a jug of tap water with plastic glasses, which is surprising given that even smaller hotels typically offer at least one bottle of mineral water.
The lack of courtesy and basic hospitality from the management was disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected much better service. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. The experience left much to be desired.
We recently booked two rooms at this property in Goa for a three-night stay, enticed by the videos shared by the owner, which made the place look like a premium property. We were charged around ₹46,000 in total and paid ₹23,000 as an advance.
While we were on our way to Goa, it started raining heavily, and the weather report indicated that the rain would continue for the entire week. Given this, we decided that it would be better to stay just one night and head back to Hyderabad the next day since the weather would not allow us to enjoy our trip. Upon arriving at the resort, we explained our situation to the staff and requested a refund of the balance after deducting the cost of one night’s stay. However, we were bluntly told that no refund would be provided. The staff claimed that their manager refused to issue a refund, but despite our repeated requests, the manager never came out to speak with us directly.
Left with no choice, we decided to stay the night since we had already paid the amount. When we reached our cottage, we were immediately disappointed. The door faced a busy road just 25 feet away, which made the room feel far from private or serene. The room itself was decent, but the bathroom was a major letdown. It had no roof or exhaust fan, which made it uncomfortable and far from what one would expect from a “premium” property. To add to the disappointment, the room did not even have a mineral water bottle. Instead, they provided water in an old jug, which is something you wouldn’t expect even at a small lodge. These days, it’s standard to receive at least one mineral water bottle in the room, so this felt like a very basic amenity that was missing.
In the evening, we decided to try the food and drinks. The drinks were reasonably priced, but the food was another story. Although they had both North Indian and Chinese dishes on the menu, they were only serving Chinese, and unfortunately, it was not up to the mark.
The next morning, when I woke up and opened the door, it felt like I was in a room right by the roadside with people constantly roaming around. The lack of privacy was quite unsettling. After freshening up, we went for breakfast, hoping for a better experience. However, we found a disappointing spread of chapathi, aloo curry, channa bhaji, bread, cornflakes, milk, butter, jam, omelette, coffee, and tea. The chapathi was so hard that it was more like a papad, and the aloo curry and channa bhaji were bland, lacking both salt and masala. We ended up skipping breakfast altogether and decided to check out as quickly as possible.
Before leaving, I called the owner to request that the cost of our last night’s food be adjusted against our advance payment, allowing them to keep the remaining balance. The owner’s response was shockingly rude. He refused our request outright and even said that he had “allowed” us to stay for one night, otherwise he wouldn’t have. This kind of attitude from the owner is unacceptable and unprofessional, especially at the rates they are charging.
The price we paid was exorbitant, and the experience we had was far from worth it. They market the property as a premium one, but the amenities and standards are nowhere near what you would expect from such a place. This property might be suitable for bachelors looking for a basic stay, but for anyone expecting a premium experience, it is a complete disappointment. It feels like they’re exploiting guests, especially during the off-season when the demand is low. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any of my friends, and I strongly advise others to be cautious before booking here.
