I simply our stay with Norbu in his homestay. Simplistic approach with no fancy add-ons. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A little walking distance and you are in the famous river.
Mr Norbu is an intelligent man with a good knowledge base. Had an opportunity to interact with him during our breakfast and he told us many insightful stories about the people and the 1962 debacle.
Unfortunately most people are trying to construct a stay next to the river disturbing the entire ecosystem and the famous migratory Black Neck Crane visiting in Winters is likely to be history if the tourism goes on like this.
It was truly an amazing time.. Sangti me one of the best homestay I can say and suggest..
Such a homely people and time ♥️
A beautiful and quaint place just beside Kameng river. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The owners are warm and welcoming. They serve pretty great food too and the service is pretty great. This is the best place to stay in Shangti Valley if you wanna stay at a calm and quiet place.
It could be the best place if you are seeking for hospitality, care and scenic beauty of the nature …. The people there are very kind and helpful they will look after you as there family
Afterall the best homestay in sangti Village
The best homestay in Dirang. This is actually located in Sangti valley and slightly inside Dirang. So if you’re booking a cab from Tawang it is important to mention this. The cab drivers won’t be pleased if they find out later that you said Dirang and the place is in Sangti Valley.
It is close to the river and you can go on a couple of nice treks nearby. The host and the staff are really pleasant and very helpful.. we learnt how to make momos here.. Don’t miss the kiwi jam, kiwi wine, and corn wine here. They grow oranges, kiwis and many more things in their backyard and it’s just a beautiful place to spend the evening. They also provide campfire upon request.
