It was a PATHETIC experience staying at The OYO Anmol County Stay. The hotel Manager/ Owner staying with his family at the property, probably has ZERO experience of running a hotel. No hospitality, and Negative in service. Food preparation would take ages, so place your order a day in advance so that you can have your meal the next day — that too if yo are lucky. They have even kept the main reception locked, so that they don’t have to sit there. Instead the manager is staying in one of the rooms with his family. Guys, stay on a road instead of thinking of booking this hotel.
We, my younger brother and I, stayed for 2 nights in this hotel as it was convenient (a metres away from the main road, near HNB Garhwal University, and cheap in comparison to other hotels) for us.
The hotel provides decent meals, table and chairs, AC (we didn’t use), ceiling fan, landline phone (didn’t work), TV (didn’t work), and British toilet. [A small cupboard or hanger would add an additional charm to the room.]
The hospitality of the staff and the Manager (owner) were impressive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you uncle for the wonderful memories.
[The shared Sumo charged ₹ 20/- per person to the nearest Bus Station]
Rooms was very clean with awesome balcony view, Good quality of food and behavior of hotel owner and staff is very nice

I have given one star less because basic amenities in the room are missing like No wardrobe, No hanger (I don’t where to put my cloths and bags)

I have given 4 star just because of the nature and behaviour of the owner.
Considering the tariff and location, it is a ok property.
The owner was friendly and guided a lot about the nearby places to visit. The room was sweet and nice to stay. And most of all, the location has a beautiful view by the side of the river. Will be staying again if I am visiting srinagar..
