Peaches and Pears was a delight to stay. The rooms were clean, the humans were hospitable and the animals were amicable. Our host took utmost care in keeping the rooms tidy, serving hot food and there was considerable amount of hot water through the day, thanks to the solar heaters. There was enough cellular reception as well, for anyone considering remote working. The atmosphere is homely and the views are spectacular. A great place to relax and if you are a dog person, you are sure to have a better time! 🙂
One of the best places I have stayed around the chamoli district. Stayed here in November of 2018 and what more can be said about the way we were cared for during our stay. Breakfast is included as part of the stay and we were well fed during our stay . Clean comfortable rooms with solar powered water heater and the stunning view of the mountain from the room was hard to forget. Definitely coming back and would surely recommend. Convenient if one goes to tunganath , kalpeshwar or badrinath. Lots of little villages to explore around the guesthouse.
I stayed here in my group tour on 8th october 2019 on the way to Badrinath after visiting Tunganath Darshan . First of All I will share my views ..
Location – its outskirt of Gopeswar town and located in a village . You will see magnificent views of hills and peaks from the surroundings.
Rooms – They have only four rooms . All the rooms are well maintained ..and tastefully decorated .you will not get luxury but you will get all the comforts during your stay.
Bathroom – Bathroon is small compare to rooms but you will get sleeper .. toliteries ..neat and clean toilet with running hot and cold water . Water supply is good .
Foods – All the foods are homemade .you will get veg and non veg .. and quantity of foods is more than sufficient. But for Non veg you have to inform them in advance ..i tried veg items and all the items are very sumptuous. Kitchen is neat and cleaned . And you will get good view from dinning and adjacent terrace . Even you will sit at khatia and enjoying breath taking views.
Cons – entrance of the homestay is narrow and you have to cross stiff stairs . And light is not there in the entrance .
I reached at 9 pm and no body is there to carry luggage . It is very difficult to take luggage in the top floor . Cause out of 4 rooms 3 rooms in the top floor . Even in the time of check out there was no staff to bring down luggage.
They have very strict policy about check in. After 9 pm they can denied your check in as they cleared mentioned it in rimes of bookings.
So if you travelling with sr.citizen and if they have knee problems i would suggest not to go .
Advice management to keep staff .
What to do – its amazing place .. you can go gopeswar only to stay and enjoy this homestay and witness there unmatched hospitality .
Visit to shiva temple and villages .. you can ask for local guides .. homestay will arrange it.
Bird watching – Got so many birds …within 1 km of the homestay . Homestay also attracts so many birds in their campus .

I recommend at least 2 nights stay on the way or return from badrinath / auli / joshimath .
Beautiful location and beautiful property. And the host (Tulsi aunty and her team) was awesome. You will feel at home. You can spend whole day sitting in the garden and farm of the property. You will get fresh home cooked food from their own farm.
Really nice family run homestay. Breakfast is included and there is an option to request all meals. It is reasonably priced and the rooms are clean and well-furnished. The owner also organizes trekking and other activities and is very knowledgeable.
