Great product. One of the plugs Ground/Earth pin came off, it doesn’t have screw, simply pressed in and can’t use it.Bought few boxes, very reliable, but expensive.One star reduced due to cost and faulty product which can’t be returned.

All the devices I have are rated for 100 – 240v so I only need something to convert the pins (Dell laptop, Canon camera, and Samsung Phone). I didn’t need one of those monsterous blocks that reduce the voltage while obstructing at least one additional outlet on a powerstrip … not good for conference rooms where outlets are usually limited. Buyers should know this has (1) grounded outlet and (1) un-grounded/2-prong connections. The little square charger that came with my Samsung Galaxy S2 fits perfectly on the 2-prong side.Cons:- As another reviewer noted, every outlet I have seen in Israel has a circle on the wall plate and the plug is slightly recessed (between 1/8 – 1/4″). This plug is a square shape that is larger than the circle so it ends up at an angle and not fully plugged in. However, it has stayed securely connected and has not caused any problems. The larger/bulky models typically sit further away from the outlet so this isn’t a problem.- The 2-prong outlet on the side is on the small side and I can see how some plugs may not fit (has not been a problem for me)My only regret is not buying a 2nd before this trip so I could charge all my gadgets at the same time.

I used this plug while living in Nepal for three months. It work very well the entire time. It was helpful to have two places to plug in when I needed to charge my phone and tablet together because I never knew when the power was going to go out in Nepal. I also like having two places to plug in because I was living in a house with many people and only a few plugs. I could use my plug at the same time as someone else and we could both charge. I was able to plug in my American plugs and European friends could plug in their plugs as well. One time I stayed in a hotel and found that the wall plug was unfortunately smaller than the size of this plug, but most places I went to had a wall plugs this size. Overall it worked very well and was light and easy to travel with.

I purchased this plug converter without much thought. Verizon gave me (with a rental global phone) some plug converters too. Verizon plug adapters did not work. This OREI plug converter from USA to Western Europe (Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands) does work.Why is this OREU plug ideal and will actually work for you when other plug adapters will fail?Two reasons:- This plug has a circular face for the European component. This is critical. Some Western European countries have square surface inputs and some have recessed circular inputs for their power plugs. The circular surface of this OREI plug fits ALL types of Western European power plugs. If you get a plug adapter with a square face, you cannot use the recessed circular input plugs. In the Netherlands, all they had were recessed circular inputs for their plugs. In France where I saw both types, this plugged worked every time.- Having two input sources for US type plugs is great for practical use. Many European hotels have few power plugs to begin with, so an adapter that doubles the usable outlets is huge if you have a cell phone, laptop, electric razor, etc.Note 1: this OREI plug I am reviewing takes a USA plug (3 or 2 prong) as input and gives you a European (Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands not England) standard plug.Note 2: this is a power adapter in that it lets you plug in a USA input and has a European standard output. This device does NOT convert voltage. If you are powering a low Wattage device (generally less than 100 watts) you do not need a voltage converter. Recall that Watts = volts * amps. Charging your cell phone, laptop, razor, digital camera, will be fine with this OREI plug adapter. You do not need a voltage adapter. You can double check if you are unsure by reading the power adapter of your device, it will tell you on the adapter what range is allowed for power. Generally you are fine in the 120volt through 240volt range for small electronics.Overall this plug adapter is very inexpensive and I highly recommend it. It saved me a ton of hassle once in Europe. I can confirm it works in Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
