Really nice hotel. On a tour of Northern India, so only stayed for 2 nights. Very friendly staff. Cake mixing ceremony was very enjoyable. New bar opened. Terrace with fire pit was terrific. Nice buffet food in the restaurant. Enjoyable stay.
It’s a lovely hotel with very pleasant helpful staff. Rooms are excellent. Food great. If your fit it’s just a 15 min walk to the
Souvenir shops.
Rooms nice, good view. Food good. Not a good hotel if you have walking problems. There are chair lifts on two sets of stairs but you still have to walk through the corridors. Need to have a couple of wheelchairs for guests to use.
Not at all a 5 star property. If I compare this with other 5 star properties even with almost 30% less base fair, I think this is the lowest level of service, food and interior. Room sizes were small and it was not a
Giving a refreshing feel at all. In buffet the spread was like 3 star property. Available food was tasteless. Pool was not clean when we reached and so many other things.
Location is around 1 KM from the mall road but if you cannot walk much, avoid walking while going to the mall road as the slope is quite high. Generally 5 star properties try to provide as many services as they can even if they are not within the defined rules, but here the experience was not that pleasant. Indoor sports options were closed in the rainy season as they might be expecting people to enjoy the rain of Shimla. There were lot many other things which were not meeting expectations of a 5 star property with this price tag.
So be careful if you are looking to book this property considering it’s a 5 star one.
No it is not.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April 2024. It was an excellent experience. The location is awesome, view in the back is beautiful. The staff, mostly local residents, go out of their way to serve you. For anyone visiting Shimla, this is the place to stay. It’s well worth the money spent.
