  1. for most travellers Aalo is a stopover transit to break the journey to Mechuka. for the same reason for us too. In my humble opinion Reyi Homestay is my only choice in Aalo. Away from busy town. Reyi’s location is stunning, picturesque and serenity scenic. From the drive way entry to the homestay entrance, an immediate meditative calm welcomes guests. Location, location is the everything…from the house to a valley and a faraway mountains view. This is the home residence of Mr & Mrs Liduk Ete and for guests – the rooms and outstanding hospitality makes an unforgettable stay. 2 nights of restorative rest, good home cooked food, Reyi deserves the accolades & recent tourism awards. The owners share how the property was developed, we met their friendly daughter. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything

  2. While the property looks good and has a vast area, service and rooms are terrible. We were travelling from Pasighat to Mechuka and were required to stay overnight at Aalo. We called 2 days earlier and over the phone our room was confirmed. It was only upon reaching that we were told that there was no AC in the room (temp was 40) and no food was available till dinner (we reached at 2:30) please note there are no shops or eateries around. At 5 we had to ask for tea and were served very reluctantly when we asked for some refreshments or at least biscuits, the caretaker asked us to call the owner to seek permission. For the price they charge this place is absolutely not worth it. Find something else.

  3. Well, this is my first review write after I have stayed at over 50+ hotels and homestays across Arunachal Pradesh in last few years on my official tours to every district in the state, but this was by far the worst experience. The owner’s attitude was shockingly unwelcoming and greedy, making it clear from the outset that hospitality was not a priority.

From the moment I arrived, I was met with a lack of basic courtesy and a cold demeanor. Any requests for assistance or inquiries were met with dismissiveness and reluctance.

The accommodation itself was mediocre at best, but it was the owner’s negative behavior that truly ruined the experience. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and I felt like an unwelcome intruder rather than a valued guest.

Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve had in all my travels throughout Arunachal Pradesh. I strongly advise anyone considering this homestay to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other options where you will be treated with the respect and hospitality that you deserve. Avoid this place at all costs.

  4. Our stay at Reyi Homestay in Aalo was truly unforgettable. Nestled in the mountains, this homestay feels more like a luxurious resort, offering a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. The clean, well-ventilated rooms with fresh sheets provided us with a serene and relaxing retreat.

The homestay, lovingly built by the owner in memory of his father, is a testament to dedication and care. The owner’s warm and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly at home, and his personal tour of the entire place was a delightful highlight.

Reyi Homestay is a self-sufficient paradise with its own vegetable garden, fruit orchard filled with lychees and oranges, and a variety of flowering trees. The animal husbandry area, home to chickens, ducks, and fish, added a charming, rustic touch. I fell in love with the garden, especially the beautiful collection of flowers and plants. The cactus and succulent collection on the balcony and sitting area was particularly impressive and serene.

The local meal we enjoyed was delicious, offering us a true taste of the local delicacies. Each dish was a flavorful journey into the heart of Aalo’s culinary traditions.

Our stay at Reyi Homestay was a perfect blend of luxury and homeliness, making it a truly exceptional experience. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Aalo.

  5. Visited this place with family and friends .sorry to say that only property is big.. rest management is not up to the mark .
Rooms are not clean, with cobweb, no welcome gesture from owner, forget about grand not basic facilities were maintained. For small needs, we have to look around for staff .Way of communication should be more customer friendly .In short will not advise to stay .Better to look for small place with basic facilities.
