The hotel is situated in an excellent location, and the lobby is truly impressive, exuding elegance and a welcoming ambiance.
However, the quality of the rooms is highly disappointing. The rooms are poorly maintained and far below the standard expected from such a property. The condition of the washrooms is even worse, with visible issues that made our stay very uncomfortable.
It’s a shame that the stunning lobby and prime location are let down by the unacceptable state of the accommodations. Would not recommend unless the management takes serious steps to improve the rooms and washrooms.
My stay at Hotel Samrat in Delhi was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The bedrooms were in terrible condition — the paint was peeling off, everything looked extremely old, and some lights weren’t even working.
The washroom was a nightmare. To flush the toilet, I had to push a knob on the wall with my full weight to get it to work. The shower looked like it was from the 90s, and it’s still in use. Once I turned its head to the side, it wouldn’t turn back. There was also a makeup mirror that constantly rotated and wouldn’t stay still, making it utterly useless.
The most disappointing part was the false impression created by the lobby and entrance, which looked beautiful. But the actual rooms were nothing like it. I paid Rs. 9000 for a single night, and it was absolutely not worth it.
Service of staff is amazing. They help you out every way possible
Location is also surrounded by the government buildings.
Room is kind of looks old but good 👍🏼
Hotel feels quite old and need some maintenance.
The rooms are comfortable and provide a decent stay.
The staff, especially in the kitchen, have a bit of a stiff, “government office” attitude, but the food is delicious.
You can’t visit the restaurant during dinner times; all dining is room service only.
Hotel is old build. Renovation is going on and more is required.
Other than that, you’d feel like kingly palace. Rooms are good but again renovation is required. Washroom (bath tub and wash basins) needs major repairs.
Pool is closed. Lawn is closed. I wish those were open. Outside view is great though. It’s all green. Location is great.
Food is very good, both for in room dining and breakfast.
