I recently stayed at Solan Retreat, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to major attractions and transportation, making it a perfect choice for travelers.
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive. From the smooth check-in process to the personalized recommendations, they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. My room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with modern amenities. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water and a heater.
The hotel facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant offered a delicious selection of home made dishes.
Overall, my experience at Solan Retreat exceeded expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms, and convenient location make it a standout choice.
Had a great experience. The property is relaxing and host is great. The staff is excellent. Just the property is located at a climb, so little effort to drive up there.
Visited here recently and stayed from 21st-23rd Oct and again from 25th-26th Oct 2024. Had a wonderful, memorable, quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay at this over a century old British mansion, bought in 1936 by an Indian businessman that is now being run as a homestay by its 3rd generation. It’s situated on a plateau on a hill not very far from the town of Solan Himachal Pradesh.
The station is approx 800 mtrs on foot. Three wheeler rickshaws available once you ascend from the station to the road junction (fare between ₹120-150 one-way). Or if you are driving, you can drive up to the property via the circular road. The staff at the property will be more than happy to assist you or come down the hill to guide and drive you up.
The Mall Road is accessible directly via 147 steps.
You get breathtaking views from the property.
Stay feels like living in a heritage property. Food and service was awesome. Location is prime and very comfy stay. Must stay property at Solan with family.
The stay was nice and the rooms were clean. The building has an old charm. However, the food could have been better according to the price. Also, it’s a jain household so they won’t cook nov veg in the premises but you can order it from outside.
