I cannot express enough my disappointment with my booking at this hotel. The entire experience was horrendous!
I had booked a room from July 23rd to July 26th in 2023, and was asked to pay 50% of the amount in advance due to high demand. I prepaid a total of 4,284 rupees. Upon check-in at 2:40 PM, I was greeted by a room in deplorable condition. The linoleum floor was torn, the room was disgustingly dirty with an unbearable stench, and there was no functioning AC or pillows. There was also no security and no proper staff available.
Unable to tolerate the appalling conditions, I decided to check out immediately at 3:08 PM. However, the receptionist’s irritable attitude only added to my frustration, as they outright refused to process my refund.
This level of service is absolutely unacceptable! The hotel’s standards are shockingly low, and it looks nothing like what was advertised.
“Unfortunately, I have to select at least “one star” just to be able to post my remarks here. Once again, please do not trust this hotel.”
Not one of the best hotel stay experiences of my life. Reasons as following: –
1. Location: Very remote, in the midst of agricultural fields. I was able to reach the place only because I used Google Maps. The hotel is located on the edge of a foul-smelling effluent stream (गन्दा नाला).
2. The room telephone was unusable, and I was given a mobile phone number to contact reception if I needed something. This number was never answered whenever I called during my stay.
3. The cable television was inoperative. Upon complaining, the man from the receptionist’s desk juggled a few set-top boxes and remote controls to make it partly operational, but even after the TV was working, it had only a few cheap, sleazy news channels available.
4. The room got very cold in the evenings, and there were no heating arrangements. When I remarked on this, the reception clerk stated that the hotel was providing double blankets instead.
5. The bathroom was not clean, and fixtures appeared never to have been cleaned. The drains were choked with dirt, and a pipe was leaking. No soap was provided till I insisted that soap was a standard item of supply in all hotels.
6. Although there is a nice, fat menu available in the room, most of the items are not available. So finally one is forced to take pot luck and order whatever is available. The only saving grace was that whatever was served was quite good and well prepared. Pricing of menu items is not in line with the hotel standards… it is too high.
7. Finally, when I was checking out a day early, the reception staff tried to shaft me by charging me for the two breakfasts that I had taken during my stay, even though complimentary breakfast was part of the package.
I do not know whether the poor standards are because of incompetence, inexperience or apathy, or because someone is trying to make a quick buck without spending anything, but the overall experience was not pleasant.
If this is the standard provided by OYO, I do not intend to book a hotel through OYO ever again.
I have stayed with my friends for a couple of days and honestly I am so happy we have found this place. As soon as we have enter the room, we were glad we have found such an amazing place for our stay. The room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed I have ever slept on!!! Bathroom was very clean, shower was attached. Though we havn’t take shower😛..just because of the swimming pool that was attached in the backyard. We have tried room service as well and in 20 min, the food was served at our room and food was really delicious specially the Chicken Curry😋 Overall I had the best stay and would definately recommend this place to other!!! The thing that make our stay memorable was the service of the staff. All the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and they really made us felt special from the begining to the end!!!!!
worst oyo experience of my life. there is literally no sanitization in the hotel. non of the staff wears masks. they provide wet towels. wifi does not work. shower does not work. no charging ports in the room. cutlery no clean, no disposal available. pathetic experience. only stay if you have no other option in the entire world.
