My experience with Swiss Hotel did not meet even the most basic expectations for a hotel of this caliber. Initially, we were assigned two rooms on different floors. When we requested adjacent rooms, they denied availability at first. During breakfast, I asked for a cold coffee, a basic beverage that is typically included in buffets. The staff, however, was rude and insistent that it wasn’t available, telling me it couldn’t be provided with the breakfast buffet. The breakfast options were also very limited. While the property looks nice, the poor service makes it a hotel I would not choose to stay at again. On my last night, when I checked in around 8 PM, I was exhausted and asked the front desk about good restaurants to order from. They immediately told me outside food wasn’t allowed—a rule I have never encountered at other hotels, including Hyatts or ITCs, where I’ve had no issues. Those hotels, unlike Swiss Hotels, are known for their excellent service and staff. An extremely bad experience overall.
The worst 4 star hotel. We booked two rooms between the three of us, one single occupancy one double, how ever the person who was supposed to stay in single occupancy, her grandfather passed away and she couldn’t come. So we contacted the hotel for the same to cancel one room because of death of a family member, i also mentioned that the double occupancy room will be remaining the same.
They said it’s our policy we can’t cancel, they did not care enough even to cooperate or consider once in a sensitive matter like someone’s passing away. I even emailed them but no response.
When we got here the rooms were okay but one bathroom has towel the other didn’t, keep in mind we booked the signature deluxe room which is one of their top ones.
The ac room had heating in one room while in other it was a different remote and wasnt working.
The tv had no recharge and wasn’t working.
Tv and bed light was connected so you can’t watch tv without bed light because if you turn off one thing the tv switches off.
We went for breakfast the first day and it was the worst stale food we’ve had. The idli was hard like rock, the thepla were more like papad. When we asked them for toasted bread they toasted it so bad it looked like a normal bread with two or three grill lines.
They mentioned they have free pickup drop from and to mall road, when we waited for the car we found out a Bolero comes with people already stuffed in and you have to squeeze in the trunk of it with other people.
This is the worst hotel service we’ve seen in all these years of travelling.
Nice hotel with good scenic views. Staff was soft spoken and took care of all the needs.
What an amazing property.. BEST AT THE MOMENT IN NAINITAL.. We came here for two days and extended for another day.
Nainital hotels at the mall road are heavily congested with less parking and Swiss hotel is an amazing luxury property with great service, location , convenient parking and food and a little away from crowd but at a convenient location just next to the high court.
I appreciate the effort of their management team and special thanks to Mr Anil Negi who is not just an amazing manager with a great smile but also a super singer who owns up the mic at times to give a personal touch of entertainment to his guests. Keep it up guys.. super happy and for sure a repeat customer. Just maintain the level of service and luxury .
