An old property but renovated and maintained to top standards. Outstanding service by every single staff through the entire hotel in all its facilities all categories . The access to rooms is a bit inconvenient if you are on upper floors without elevator access . Only a few sections of the hotel have elevators which move between the basement and lobby levels . The location is superb and it’s a walk on to a really lovely beach.
We stayed at Cidade De Goa just two weeks ago and had an incredible experience! The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and stunning views. The beachfront location is breathtaking, and the property itself is beautifully maintained with lush gardens and serene surroundings. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay special. From the delicious food at their restaurants to the relaxing spa services, everything was top-notch. If you’re looking for a peaceful, yet luxurious getaway in Goa, Cidade De Goa is highly recommended!
Overall experience was good, had some mishap during check in where they forgot to take out luggage from cab ( after even telling them which ideally should not be even reminded) which went and had to call again but problem was when cab came none of 10 staff standing did not bothered to say sorry just looking and not moving at all……but eventually manager was kind enough to apologise and also gave us room and meal upgrades. Property is lovely and well managed. Staff could be little polite and courteous but can’t generalise as some of staff is really helpful and polite. One thing i noticed after staying for 4 days is they have sufficient staff but they just stick to their duties nothing more at all. Person who is assigned to take plate will not give u glass, lady who always comes to ask room number in restaurant you ask her anything she would not entertain. But overall experience was good.
We visited Taj Cidade Heritage in the month of October 2024. Right from the first call with Desiree till the time we checked out, was a wonderful experience. True to the expectations one has out of a Taj property, the service was spot on. The staff was helpful and courteous. Desiree was exceptionally lovely and made sure we got a wonderful deal at the property. Being a family trip , we were a group of 25 but she made sure to give us rooms close by and sea facing. It was a great experience and we hope to visit the property again. Thank you.
Our experience at Citade de Goa was unfortunately disappointing, especially considering the brand’s reputation.
The service fell far below expectations. We had to wait for two hours just to get towels. Dining at one of their restaurants was another letdown. The service was painfully slow, with dishes arriving out of sync—a curry served first and rice following 15 minutes later. Some items, like the black bean burger had avocado which was bitter, and the kathi rolls were dry and tasteless.
The next morning, breakfast was a mess. There weren’t enough tables to accommodate guests, resulting in a 20-30 minute wait just to get seated. The breakfast menu was same everyday which kind of became boring during our 5 day stay.
Given that it was the holiday season, we expected activities for children and festive Christmas celebrations. To our dismay, there were none.
Despite being a peak holiday season and likely fully booked, the hotel seemed unprepared to handle the crowd. For the premium price we paid, the overall experience felt like a significant letdown.
Taj Cidade de Goa has a long way to go in meeting guest expectations during such high-demand times. We hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their services.
