This was a wonderful anniversary getaway for us! The grounds and ocean views are breathtaking – beautifully maintained and filled with flowers and singing birds. Easy access to a gorgeous beach. Dining options were all exceptional – delicious food (including vegan options) and exceptional service. The bar overlooking the ocean at sunset was a highlight. It is clearly a very kid-friendly hotel (even though we didn’t bring children, their happy faces were everywhere). We stayed in a bungalow which was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and lovely places to take coffee and lounge.
Staying at a Taj property is always a delightful experience, and this iconic gem is no exception. It’s one of my favorite places to stay, especially during the monsoon when beach access is limited. The heritage charm of the property makes it well worth the time, effort, and money.
The service is exceptional, with staff that are incredibly helpful and embody the best of Taj hospitality. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and the sea view with a sit-out area is simply perfect for a relaxing stay.
In-room dining is also excellent, with a variety of great options to choose from. Overall, this property guarantees a memorable and luxurious experience.
Our stay at Taj Fort Aguada was a major letdown. Despite paying extra for a premium view, the room was nothing like the photos. Check-in was delayed, room service took 30+ minutes, and there was no orientation about the resort’s amenities. Dining was average, with long waits for breakfast, and the staff’s laid-back attitude added to the frustration. Pool rules were overly restrictive and unexplained. Overall, the property feels overhyped and overpriced. I’d recommend staying at the W instead; it offers a far better experience. Avoid Taj properties if you’re looking for true luxury.
Our recent experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to great hospitality that truly set the tone for a perfect vacation. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and a unique blend of history and modern luxury. The staff, as expected from Taj, were incredibly courteous and attentive, going out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. A huge shoutout to Chef Roy and Chef Priyaranjan, who thoughtfully prepared customized meals for us, considering our health conditions. It was such a warm gesture that made us feel right at home. The housekeeping team also deserves special thanks for the lovely decorations in our room — their attention to detail was simply amazing.
We’re incredibly grateful to Mr. Dave and Abigail for ensuring every arrangement was perfect. We even had the pleasure of meeting the hotel’s GM, who took extra care of us, making sure our celebration was flawless. The entire Taj team went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We look forward to celebrating many more festivals at Taj Fort Aguada — it truly feels like home. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a personalized, exceptional stay!”
It wasn’t a great experience. It’s an old property. The bed is not comfortable, they can’t offer hard mattress. Water dripping in the bathroom. Clearly maintenance is not great. Room service is slow.
The phone receiver stinks so much, you will not feel like touching it. The sea view rooms are okayish.
