Munnar Tea County Resort: A Classic Stay with Modern Touches
I recently stayed at Munnar Tea County Resort and had a pleasant experience. The premium room I booked was spacious, elegant and had a classic charm. Its central location in Munnar made it easy to explore the town. The rooms were clean and well-furnished, and the balcony provided a lovely view.
However, the bathroom was notably small and congested, which could be improved. Additionally, considering the price of 9000 rupees per night, I was surprised that the resort did not provide a welcome drink or any special room decorations, which are often offered by other hotels at lower rates.
The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of delicious food, but the dinner buffet felt a bit overpriced for the limited selection. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The resort also has recreational facilities like billiards, table tennis, and carroms, along with a pleasant outdoor area for leisurely walks.
Overall, Munnar Tea County Resort is a good choice for those seeking a classic, comfortable stay. However, if you’re looking for a luxurious, modern hotel experience with all the amenities, it might not be the best fit. The value for money could be improved, especially considering the dinner buffet prices and the lack of certain amenities.
Stayed here for three nights in the first week September 2024. Beautiful property with excellent sightseeing assistance. The staff overall is great. Breakfast is very basic. However, the F&B manager has significant scope for improvement in his behaviour. Also, the women at the reception could be more welcoming with a smile towards the guests rather than swollen faces, reminiscent of a Government enterprise.
All staffs in the hotel are very friendly and always keep a smile . Lobby is so beautiful and our kids like very much. Beautiful room and a great view from the balcony. Good and tasty food and good service is always provided. Thank you team Tea County for giving us a good experience 🙂
Had a vacation with family. I was traveling with my Parents ( both senior citizens) and my brother.
The place is beautiful. The rooms are big and spacious. The property is full of greenery that makes you want to spend all your time there. Going for walks in the property is refreshing. The check in and check out both were smooth. The staff is excellent. The breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner were really very good. I think this is one of the best properties in Munnar. It’s close to the city so very accessible to everything that you need. It’s a perfect place for a beautiful relaxed vacation.

While the buildings and rooms are quite old, they are still maintained well, providing a sense of charm and nostalgia. The property is well-kept, and the vintage feel adds to the unique experience. Overall, it’s a nice place for a relaxing getaway amidst the scenic beauty of Munnar!
