I recently had the pleasure of dining at this centrally located restaurant on M.G. Road, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of excellent. The dinner buffet menu offers a variety of delicious options that cater to different tastes.
What stood out the most was the customized appetizer they prepared for us—a delightful pork oriental dish that set the tone for the evening. The highlight of the buffet was undoubtedly the duck dish, which was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The special fried rice, with its unique green color, was tasty on its own and complemented the other dishes well. While the fish was just okay, the chicken dish was another standout, offering a burst of flavor in every bite.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a great place for a relaxed dinner. It’s conveniently located on M.G. Road, which adds to its appeal. Aanson, our host for the evening, was exceptional. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience, helping us get all the specials added to our meal, making the evening even more special.
Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with its excellent buffet, standout dishes, and pleasant atmosphere, all made better by the attentive service. Highly recommended for a memorable evening out!
I recently stayed at Avenue Regent and had a wonderful experience! The rooms were nicely appointed, neat, and clean, making for a comfortable stay.
The real highlight was Mezzo resto bar, the in-house restaurant, which served exceptional. The prime location of the hotel added to its charm, making it easy to explore the city.
Apparently each and every visitor to your room needs to be registered at the reception using their passports. Something I’ve experienced for the first time in all the hotels I’ve been to.
These rules also seem to be selectively applied to the patrons.
Not sure if it’s actual hotel policy but they asked to pay up one night before the checkout.
Food is mediocre quality. Mutton was rubbery and i got tea instead of the coffee i ordered.
Why is this place 4 star?
Edited to address 14Aug reply – If its indeed out of concern for safety of guests, it doesn’t make any sense to trouble the visitor to get their passport when the visitor and hotel guest were already on their way out. Shouldn’t this be done when the visitor is coming in? I didn’t see anyone walking to the lifts being asked if they are registered.
Re: payment. How’s it enforced? You’ll call up every room the night before checkout asking them to pay up?
None of this is mentioned when booking the room.

The restaurant (Springs) was excellent. They have a buffet that’s just the right mix of Continental, Asian and local cuisine. The quality and taste have made repeat customers out of us.
The service is excellent and we have always been greeted with a smile and served with efficiency and courtesy.
