Varun from reception was good to us. The rooms are spacious and the centralized AC works fine. Since there are no fans in room, the ducting is a life saver. No hot water, but temperatures at gauhati – you can bath in cold water.
The hotel is very large and rooms are very spacious and a you get good city view. The problem i found is
1. the bathroom tapes are outdated style and bit stardy not smooth to use.
2. Since the train station is adajacent to the hotel u will get the noises of train and announcement of the stations.
I dont know whether the 2nd point is always a problem for everybody but i did not like it.
The most disgusting hotel I have ever visited. They claim rooms are centrally air-conditioned but the central AC even in 17 temparature was not giving any cool feelings. There is no fan in any rooms. So if the AC does not work properly, you can understand how devastating it is. The most frustrating experience was when I visit their restaurant. I just took my 10 month old baby making her seated in a table by my support and I was going to order food for dinner. The restuarant boy simply told in very rude voice “take her from this table, we are busy here”. I could not understand how the staff behaves rudely with even a 10 month old baby.. When I complained to management, the management could not even bring the culprit infront and ensure appologies. Even that day in the dinner they prepare the food with tremendous salt, not sure if it was intentionally as I complained against that boy.
I will not recommend this hotel at all for stay. With 3000 rupees per day rent, this type of service and rude behaviour is not expected at all.
All Staffs are ill mannered including restaurant peoples and the person who sits at reception in day time, they don’t know the hospitality. Wash room too dirty. AC not working. If raise a complaint for something, they start shouting and says just check out the room, speaks very rudely.
