  4. Just outside the gates of Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, I found a hidden gem called “The Himalayan Heaven Homestay” while searching for hotels on Google. I decided to give it a try and called the owner, Joshi ji. His warm and friendly voice put my worries to rest.

When I arrived, Joshi ji greeted me with a big smile and offered me a ride on his scooter to the homestay parking. From there, it was a 30-minute walk to reach the homestay. The journey was filled with beautiful views and Joshi ji’s friendly conversation, making me feel right at home. I had planned to stay for just one night, but the kindness of Joshi ji and his family made me extend my stay by two more nights. Although I had to go back to Delhi, leaving this place was hard. The Joshi family treated me like one of their own, not just a guest.

    The Place:

The Himalayan Heaven is perfect for relaxing and finding peace of mind. The rooms are breezy and spacious, with amazing views of the mountains. It’s one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. The hosts, a local farming family, take great care of you and make you feel at home.

    Activities:

There are many things to do that connect you with nature. It’s a great spot for studying, yoga, meditation, and stargazing. Every morning, you can enjoy the songs of different birds from your room. Day treks give you the chance to see animals like barking deer, wild boar, mountain goats, and black-faced monkeys. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a leopard, but don’t worry, they won’t harm you. For the more adventurous, night treks offer an exciting experience in the jungle. Guided nature walks let you soak up the forest atmosphere and spot a wide variety of birds. The homestay supports all your sightseeing and adventure needs.

    Food:

The food at The Himalayan Heaven is homemade and organic, with most ingredients coming from their own farm. Joshi ji avoids using chemical fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring the food is both high-quality and delicious. The vegetarian meals were superb and nourishing, cooked by Joshi ji’s brother, a retired professional chef. Despite the excellent quality, the food is reasonably priced, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

    Behavior:

The Joshi family is gentle and kind-hearted. During my stay, I felt like I was with my own family. Their genuine care and hospitality were unforgettable. The staff members are incredibly friendly, supportive, and care about the environment, making sure you have everything you need for a great stay. I am especially thankful to Harshit, Joshi ji’s younger son, who accompanied me on every sightseeing trip. We had so much fun and shared many ideas. Harshit is also a great yoga instructor. If you love yoga, you can take lessons from him.

    Room:

The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable, with 24/7 access to fresh water. Each room includes a bathroom and basic kitchenette, and offers stunning views of the forest. Every detail is attended to, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Reflecting on my time at The Himalayan Heaven, I feel deeply grateful. This homestay is not just a place to stay; it is a place where you feel at home, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of wonderful people. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Just go and relax, you don’t need to worry about anything.

  5. It’s a very good place here to be. The most quiet place I have visited ever with all the natural landscapes. The staff is very supportive and will get all the basic amenities, however the food is very expensive. You’ll get a simple Daal, Roti, Sabji and Salad thaali for 500 per person/meal

Update: In the response they mentioned 300/person however we were charged 500/person per meal.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of birds singing. It’s a 45 minutes track from road to reach this place.

The rooms are spacious and comfy, with amazing views of the forest.

A big plus of staying here is the chance to go on guided nature walks. You can spot all sorts of birds and really soak up the atmosphere of the forest.

The staff are super friendly and make sure you have everything you need for a great stay. They really care about the environment and do their best to protect it.

In short, this stay is a fantastic choice for anyone who loves nature and wants a peaceful break in the beautiful Himalayas.
