  1. Our experience (mid May’24) was very good at Mirchoni; specifically the service and hospitality given by their staff. Special mention for Narendra; he made huge difference as he always gave his services with smile and ‘never say no’ attitude.

My gratitude to all their staff members, including Chefs who cooked really tasty food for us.

    Thank you!!

  2. I had booked 2 rooms Premium Heritage category for 2 couples, all senior citizens, July 1st-3rd. Mirchoni Nainital was the last stop of our hectic tour of 6 days in the hills. The stay turning into a weird experience becoming a lifetime lesson for me.
Me and my spouse checked into room no. 108 which was spacious, well lit, with a large attached washroom. One could sit inside the room and look out as large glass walls were provided on both sides of the entrance for natural light. Chairs and tables were provided outside room to relax. Open lawn with seating available for common use. Backdrop of resort was good. Everything seemed fine.

    Now about the bad part.
Our co-travellers, with whom we have been on many wonderful trips together, unfortunately, got room no. 107. They were very distressed, but did not raise the issue directly with me, out of respect, as I had made the booking. They were regularly pointing out deficiencies to the staff. Room should have been changed but wasn’t.

We went out together and enjoyed the local outings. I noticed our companion couple commenting subtly about the shortcomings in their room. Mistakenly, I assumed, these were minor irritants. It never crossed my mind to personally inspect the room. After I had made the final payment, I found my friend protesting to the staff about the spooky feeling they had been experiencing at night. Only then did I realise that things were not in order and went to check. The stark difference in both rooms defy words. The walls were made up of dark blackish rock pallets, a misaligned TV screen, hung at 45 degree angle to the occupants bed that barely allowed walking space on one side, added to the nonsensical room planning. The flooring, swollen and hollow at many spots, was evidently in need of total replacement.

The SUPPOSEDLY PREMIUM HERITAGE ROOM, with absolutely no access to natural light whatsoever, also had dim lighting. Any traveller would be CLAUSTROPHOBIC. On the whole, the room gave an eerie, creepy feeling. A much smaller washroom than that of room no. 108, max half the size, oddly situated OUTSIDE the bedroom, with a cracked old washbasin, an eyesore, added to the negativity.

Never ever in all my travels have I experienced such *DISPARITY in rooms booked under the SAME CATEGORY*. I felt thoroughly cheated as the images shared do not give the correct picture. This situation put me personally in a very awkward and embarrassing position. Fail to understand how does a room whose door being the sole connect with a space leading to another door and the outside world qualifies itself in the PREMIUM HERITAGE category. Nothing except dark walls in a semi – dark room.

    Rating: Room no. 107 – 2/10, no. 108 – 8/10.
Services provided at the resort paled into insignificance leaving a very bad taste.
Goes beyond logic how the resort chose to mislead its guests in this deplorable manner.
We left with a feeling of having been scammed.

  3. Just visited the resort stayed in cottage no.101
Location, ambience, cleanliness and luxury is top notch.
You will get one of the best Lake view.
Service staff is very polite, and the chef is not just chef , he is a Master Chef, he has magic in his hands and the cuisine they serve is amazing with the lake view of Nainital.
    Ample parking space
Highly recommended for a peaceful stay with family and friends ❤️ 👍💯
And the best part was the luxury and comfort.
It’s a Heritage hotel with all the modern amenities…….
    Will definitely visit again.
Thank you so much team MIRCHONI for a memorable stay ……….🎉🎉

  4. My stay at the resort was absolutely satisfying. The cottages, the ambience, the surroundings were so good. I felt so relaxed and at peace. The services, the food were upto the mark.
Worth staying if you happen to visit nainital.

  5. It was a very pleasant experience staying here, each and every service provided was as expected.

Rooms and washroom were clean and had all the necessary amenities.

Food quality is top notch and comes on time, there is an ample amount of space outside rooms to roam around and sit on round tables and enjoy the food with a view.

Note: It is situated at an elevation from the mall road so people with health issues or senior citizens might find it difficult to ascend if they don’t have a private vehicle. So plan accordingly.
