I’ve been staying at The Orchid Green Hotel in Manali for the past 10 years, and while it was once my go-to choice for comfort and service, I must say the experience has gone downhill lately. The overall service quality has noticeably declined, from slower response times to less attentive housekeeping. Even the room maintenance doesn’t seem to be at the same high standard it used to be.
The hotel still has its strengths – the location is great, offering beautiful views, and the atmosphere is cozy. But it’s disappointing to see the lack of attention to detail that once made this place so special. I hope they can bring back the quality that long-time guests, like myself, appreciated so much.
We recently stayed at hotel Orchard Greens Resort for 3 days.
The things we personally like about the hotel is-
– Clean rooms with beautiful view from the balcony
– We found food is good compared to other places we tried outside.
– Nice room service.
– You can ask for cab service within hotel only.
– Located near to Mall Road Market and Hidimba Devi Temple.
Below are the things we personally didn’t like about the hotel-
– Attached balcony to neighbours room. No privacy.
– Even after complaining multiple times NO HOT WATER in such a cold weather.
– Over priced.
Overall it’s a good and safe option to stay in Manali.
Rooms were extremely comfortable. Service was little late. Taste of food needs to be improved, though breakfast buffet was nice. Location wise absolutely perfect, near hadimba temple and mall road.
This time the two experience was bad as they made us to stay at the new resort but the resort luxury rooms were not having a bathtub even though it was a 4 star property. The managing staff was less, they did not even had members to carry our luggage in check in as well as checkout. Some rooms were not even ready at the checkin time of 1.0 clock. Their kitchen closed at 10 pm at night. The older hotel has fond memories with us being a pleasant stay though.
Location is good.

I took room for 2 person from 8 to 10 dec.
Overall rooms are good , but there are few cons like they don’t have appropriate facility of hot water in washroom. They say that this is not in their hand.
2nd they have room services available only till 5 pm.
In December when you need hot water most you will get extremely cold water. This is a major problem.
