I’m writing this review to warn others about my incredibly disappointing experience at Winsun Hill Solan. From the moment I stepped into my room, it was clear that this hotel was far below any standard of cleanliness or comfort.The room was a state of disarray. The bed sheets were stained and threadbare, the furniture was old and worn, and the entire room reeked of cigarette smoke. Cigarette butts were scattered everywhere, from the floor to the bedside table. It was truly disgusting. To make matters worse, the hotel didn’t even provide towels. When I inquired about them, the staff informed me that they don’t offer room service or towels.The lack of basic amenities was shocking. There was no parking on the property, so I had to park my vehicle on the main road. Even something as simple as a bottle of water was a challenge. The staff suggested that I refill my bottle from the tap, which is a completely unacceptable solution. To add insult to injury, the phone lights and TV weren’t working.The staff was equally unprofessional and unhelpful. They seemed more interested in avoiding their duties than providing any assistance. Their attitude was indifferent and dismissive.Overall, my stay at Winsun Hill Solan was a nightmare. The dirty conditions, lack of amenities, and unprofessional staff made it one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. There are countless other options that offer a much better experience at a comparable price.

Disaster Hotel with Horrible Staff and Rude Owner – Avoid at All Costs
I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences of my life. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment is run by people who have no interest in hospitality, cleanliness, or basic customer service.
First Impressions:
As soon as I entered the lobby, I was met with a sour-faced receptionist who barely acknowledged my presence. After waiting for several minutes, I was finally checked in without a single word of welcome. The staff seemed annoyed that I was even there. Their rudeness was beyond anything I’ve ever encountered. Not only were they unfriendly, but they also had no idea how to do their jobs. Simple questions about the facilities were met with blank stares or curt, dismissive answers. It was as if I was a burden just for asking.
Filthy Room Conditions
When I finally got to my room, I was horrified. The door barely closed, the lock was broken, and it took several attempts just to secure it. Once inside, the nightmare continued. The bed was a complete disaster: the sheets were stained and clearly had not been changed from the previous guests. They were wrinkled, dirty, and had an unpleasant odour. The bed itself was broken, making loud creaking noises with every movement. The mattress felt like it was decades old, lumpy, and uncomfortable. It was nearly impossible to get a decent night’s sleep on it.
The room itself was filthy, with dust and dirt in every corner. The carpets were stained and sticky, and I could see grime on the walls and furniture. It was evident that housekeeping was either severely understaffed or just didn’t care about doing their job. The bathroom was no better: mouldy tiles, a clogged sink, and a shower that barely worked. The towels provided were threadbare, stained, and smelled musty. I wouldn’t even use them to clean my car, let alone dry myself after a shower.
Non-Existent Amenities
The amenities promised on their website were completely non-existent. The TV in the room didn’t work; it just sat there collecting dust. The lights were dim and flickered constantly, creating a creepy, unsettling atmosphere. When I called the front desk to ask about getting these issues fixed, I was told that they don’t provide any service. Apparently, once you’re checked in, you’re on your own. There was no room service, no maintenance staff, and no willingness to help whatsoever. They simply didn’t care.
Rude and Argumentative Owner
The final straw was the owner himself. I decided to speak to him directly after getting nowhere with the staff. To my shock, he was even worse. He was rude, dismissive, and downright aggressive. Instead of addressing my concerns, he argued with me, insisting that I was being unreasonable. He refused to acknowledge the filthy conditions, the broken amenities, or the poor service. In fact, he told me that if I didn’t like it, I should just leave. I’ve never encountered such unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour in my life
Conclusion
This hotel is an absolute disaster. The staff is rude, the rooms are filthy, and the owner is completely unfit to be in the hospitality industry. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think again. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that will treat you with respect and provide a clean, comfortable room—this is not one of them. Do yourself a favour and stay far, far away from this place. It’s not worth the stress, frustration, or money.
I was travelling from Chandigarh to Shimla.. in between there is a property Winsum Hills in Solan we suddenly stop there for lunch.. we ordered some veg. & non veg. there.. litterlly food was out of roof especially lemon chicken.. location is mind blowing, quick service, comparative staff specially I and my family thanks Mr. Bali owner of this property. He is very kind and nice person… Must visit this property…. We like this property very much… Thank you team winsum hill… Will visit you soon
