However, it’s important to manage expectations regarding noise levels and Wi-Fi reliability, especially for those seeking complete tranquility.
This was my first trip to Kodaikanal, and it turned out to be one of the best ones! From the breathtaking views to the perfect weather, and the excellent service provided by the team, every aspect made the trip truly special. Meeting new people added even more to the experience, making it all the more memorable.

We had booked a 4 bed private room with a living room. The bathroom was quite big & clean and the geyser was working properly (full hot water in 10min). Staff was good. Timely check-in and check-out! The open area is quite nice to just sit out with your friends and enjoy the view.
In-house kitchen:
Our overall food experience was quite good compared to other hostels.
Things they need to improve:
1) The shower-waterflow was extremely slow
2) The toilet jet was not working properly
3) Require more dustbins/ashtrays in open area to reduce litter
This is tue third time I am visiting the facility. I have to say, the quality of service and the maintenance has gone for a toss. This could possibly be owing to the new Zostel that has come up in Poombarai. All the attention seems to have been diverted towards the new property.
We booked an 8 sharing dorm (Hercules)
The dorm has 4 bunker beds with an attached bathroom. The catch however is that we don’t have a wash basin in the washroom. The washroom is cramped and has very limited space.
The room feels claustrophobic as the windows are too small. The big ones open towards the reception area and are usually covered with blinds.
If you are considering staying at this place, please look to book 6 sharing dorm (Pisces – 003). This bed has a good view.
You can also consider waking up early to catch the rising sun. It is a nice sight
I’m not satisfied to give 1 star also. This is completely waste place to stay. No safety and they are not responding properly. The dogs are coming inside and staying on our bed. Those are stray dogs and it bite my new shoes. The management is not at all taking care of those safety measures. One of the worst Zostel I have ever seen
